No actually, (Can't believe I'm agreeing with Major), camping IS useless in ctf, as long as you got anything with a range close to the AK's and keep shooting a few bursts at the route ahead of you, a sniper has 0 chance unless he's good enough to do a bink shot AND predict his enemy's position by the bullets...

ctf_Laos is great for both camping and offense. That also goes to ctf_Nuubia, even though the map is small, as long as you're loaded, it's very easy to snipe and kill. It also acts as a great mid-fielder. Another great map would be ctf_Ash, you guys are thinking, "you're kidding, right?", but yes, it is very effective. If you know certain spots in Ash where to snipe, you'll be both protected and able to defend, offend from your base, no movement whatsoever. (If you guys want to know the spots, pm me, I'll tell you)

All I'm gonna say is that camping is not useless, it's just easily penetrated.

Here's a picture of me killing all players with just camping/attacking with barrett. Also, ctf_B2B is a great map to camp.

In competitive matches - yes.
But in public ctf you can do whatever you want to. ;p

Not if you know how to communicate. Majority of middle spots in maps are able to show both high and low passages with Barrett scope. This can be advantageous by telling your ally who is in the base. It's very effective in a way such as ctf_B2b.

To me its all about balance. Everyone rushing the flag does no good. Everyone camps their own flag... That also wont work. -Major- brought up a very good point. Its about the team and how they communicate. And its always much easier to travel as a pack. No matter where your going. Strength in numbers!

Minimi. Can beat anything long range, anything mid range (probably not a good steyr user though) and most small range.

Depends on players skill, but minimi is overall the best..

Well. It depends on whos hands each weapon is in. I have seen people get owned by a guy with a gun half its size. Not just in Soldat but other games. What makes a person really good is that they can improvise. (hard word to spell. lol). Change weapons at a moments notice without missing a step or being killed. Thats what we call skillz!

You forgot leading, dodging, taunting, boosting, and many more skills.

Yes, right you are. Often timesgetting into someones head is more usefull then being good. You can make them beat them selves. lol

Depends on players skill, but minimi is overall the best..

Down fall is the horrendous reload speed. (Not as bad as barret and minigun), but still, comparing that with Ak, it's still uncertain.

cuz it isn't true. Minimi is soldats current best weapon. the 2nd lamest too.
