Oh god, we must contribute in this post to speed up the developing process so that we get sooner a new Soldat version.

That way nothing will be accomplished.

I hope you're all aware that MM/eC are likely to not give a rats ass about this thread or your hopes/wishes/plans.
I hope you aren't defending this position, because it's incredibly dumb.

For what? Listening to your userbase? That sort of thing should be a given.

Have you people seen the new scriptcore stuff? Well worth the wait if you ask me.

Plus it's somewhat of a hassle to release a new version (all servers have to switch to it, etc).

That type of answer usually means one thing:
You dont have any arguments.

If you want for anyone to actually believe what you said, you need to make some good arguments.

@ iDante- The most users ignore the scriptcore, they just care about the game, which is a pity, because scripting can improve the gameplay if properly used.

No, that answer means it should be blindingly obvious as to why a developer should listen to the people who use his software. It's obvious enough that you're either trying to stir up and argument because you feel like it, or are just an idiot. When you develop a product for people, you listen to what people have to say about that product, or those people go spend their time and money on something else.

If i may remind you:

We've been waiting a little over three months for 1.5.1, whereas 1.3 -> 1.3.1 took over four months, and 1.2 -> 1.2.1 (which didn't fix many bugs) took nine.

Also, the community here is stating to fasten up the Soldat releases.
If 1 man can do that, congratulations.

The scriptcore is only useful for public servers, since scripts are disabled in almost every big league and gathers are only using simple commands such as pause.

And Enesce is adding features when this version should be bugfixes, which is what this topic is all about. If he can get those features out in a reasonable amount of time, fix current bugs and not add new bugs, then that's great. The problem is he won't. Even for competent developers that's difficult.

It would so amazing if Soldat had a built-in auto-updater for the client and the server to do that for ya right?

How will enesce add all the AWESOME features like an account system if he has to concentrate on fixing bugs?????

Soldat has an auto update system, but updating soldat is not easy it seems.
Just like fixing bugs, he's only fixed 2 bugs according to http://bug.soldat.pl/ (...)

We all know that it's extremely boring to fix bugs and that it's far more fun to introduce new features, although it's COMPLETELY useless.

Yes, it looks like that eC will release new version with new useless or unworkable features. He will fix only some bugs and new bugs will come too, like ever. Idk why MM stopped programming Soldat, I am sure that Link-Dead will be never popular more than Soldat. If I have popular game why start new project with unsure end. I think he chose bad way. What is worst that MM and eC ignore community totally.

Unless you've made a program or a game you don't know it's boring. and I actually enjoy fixing bugs... unless they are extremely hard to find and fix.

I wonder what would happen if the community stops playing, we are what we make this game is. We have our rights too.
