Been working a bit on Razer(one of the maps who was up for default for 1.5 but was turned down actually). to fix some of the gameplay issues, also changed theme to something that I had in mind originally.

I'm missing a lower spawn. this way peopple would always go low, or try to toss the flag mid
I think this theme will get boring shortly (plz add some colors!)

I hate the "new tactical style" maps. why can't you keep things simple?

that's why 1.5 sucks so much now.

well its a bit of the charm(short attacking upper path) however if you neglect low like you would do on for example Viet most of the time it will bite you in the ass ;) and well color I dunno we'll see.

I hate the "new tactical style" maps. why can't you keep things simple?

well I guess I am quite bad at keeping stuff simple but then again all simple stuff has already been done.

people doesn't cares about throwing the flag there. maybe you do, and your friends, but if you put this kind of maps in pubs people would start saying: hey wtf is this wall for?

Well I don't design maps for pubs either really, they are mostly aimed for the gather/clanwar scene. the few times I played in pubs and icebeam have came up ppl have catched on pretty fast to throw flag middle. so I don't really see it as a problem.

The "new tactical style" is not bothering me abit, as for this map, it's genius made although the gameplay isn't so hard to understand at all. Besides you dont have to flagthrow while playing Razer.

altered the shading a little to look a bit like welded steel so its a bit more colorful now.

I liked the original Razer much more than this. For me the project was closed at all, but you could try to make the remake industrial like with broken fences and some old factorys in the background. Barbwire and watchtowers would be cool, too, just gameplay can´t be tweaked imo.

when we tested it(new version) gameplay was improved so sure it can be tweaked :P if you cant tweak gameplay we wouldn't be having 40 or so remakes of the defaults ;)

well it's looking quite good, though this kind of red colour doesn't really fit in that well, it's not the kind of map with different colours IMO.

I really think that those ropes don't need to be symmetrical
