Logo Design [your opinions?]

So there's this bunch that call themselves "Those Average Guys." Kinda generic, huh? They want a logo, aaand I decided to give it a shot.

Typically, I prefer more simple/not-so-flashy designs +a little. So uh, enjoy?

Basically, they want TAG, "Those Average Guys," and mainly blue and green in the logo.

Not done, but needed a second opinion. Figured I'd ask you lovely bunch of chums on what [do] you personally think looks better out of these four[?]

Straight Blue


Neon


Green+Blue


The pixeliness won't be in the final product.

I like the last one, the colors are very easy on the eyes and quite pleasing.  I just don't like how the cursive T could be mistaken for a J.  Other than that, looks great m8

Could I suggest maybe a version where the background is simply transparent, but the green part + lettering remains?

Mmm, thank you. But I've got probably 4 more versions as of now that I'm working with.. I've changed the text as Poppin suggested.

Opinions will still be very much appreciated as they might help me with the final color choices/post-fx (:

I'd go with something like Niko's post, the plain, readable, white font is all it needs to look good I think

They are all equally uninteresting to be honest.. try putting the text inside the shape and using a better suited font and don't use a lower case A in the middle because it just looks like a sh*tty clan tag or something.

I entered my entry. Had the strong sense that something as simple as this wouldn't roll too well; the guy thanked me for my efforts anyway. Not really determined to try another one as I'm very amateur with Gimp.
