My new password is secure as shit Mate, I am not sure Shit is even secured nowadays.
SML has been dead for ages, use TMS instead.
But TMS doesn't have all the rce maps SML had...
Thanks alot! This is GREAT dude!

This is GREAT dude! You're welcome. However, I've made SML "read-only," so new files cannot be uploaded, hence making it for the most part un-breakable.For any new maps, I'd strongly recommend using TMS instead as it can't get hacked since I'm extremely paranoid and coded it as such.
No server is virtually unhackable, is it? If someone who was really good wanted to get in, they could, right? But it would make no sense, there is no money involved. Why be so paranoid? Medium security is all a small site like TMS needs imo. As long as it's not saying "HERE I AM HACK ME!", like SML was saying, apparently. But, that's just my 2 cents, more security is better.
mike,Just because no money changes hands because of SML/TMS, there are many reasons to hack/compromise the site (and many other sites):- Compromise the site itself to use php to send mail- Compromise the site to attack other sites/accounts on the local machine- Compromise the site to use it as a host for malicious files that are linked from spam messages (virus payloads)- Same as above, except used to host files that botnets retrieve- Compromise the site to host spam pharma and other frontend sites... and many more. All of those have direct relationships to a spammer's bottom line (income/revenue stream). If you're interested in this aspect of security, take a look through some of the spam you get. Mouseover the URLs until you see one that looks like a small business or personal site. Many times the malicious stuff will be buried in an innocuous-looking subfolder and the original site will be intact. While I was in college and didn't feel like doing homework, I'd often browse my spam folder and notify owners of those sites that they've been compromised and offer my input on best practices to fix it and prevent it from happening again.SML's upload system has been horribly designed since day 1. jrgp is interested in repairing the site and bringing its functionality back, but I have him working on some higher priority projects right now. For now he has disabled the upload functions, because they were being abused with .htaccess files to attempt to create malicious redirects (fortunately they did not work this time).
Nice to see people have no respect for people who have left and gone and done their own things. Well thanks to the wonderful thing called the internet I can go back a few months and still read what was said. SML was originally created because of something that I felt was missing in the community, a site specifically geared towards creating/hosting custom maps for Soldat. Before I created it, I didn't know a thing about php, what an if statement was, or even what a loop did. It was not at all about me being lazy. If I was lazy I wouldn't have put in countless hours creating the site. And its not that I don't care about the website, perhaps I've moved on and you can't expect me to still manage a website for a game I no longer am interested in playing. The site was never originally created to be a showcase of web development. Sorry for bumping this but I only come on these forums every once in a blue moon to read stuff that may still be related to anything I've done. Was surprised to see this as the first thing I read and I feel sometimes forget something called respect.

I know some bahonises commented on maps with extracts from the most popular fiction novel without a proper plot development, the bible, and segments from viagra ads, but what broke it? Or ya, SS, decided to tear it down?Btw, remember the days?
Well maybe you would be respected more if you had been less of a c**t to the people you worked with... http://archive.forums.soldat.pl/topic.php?topic_id=18917
