anyway, im playing on #soldat.realistic and people there are fine, i just try to play on voiced gathers (keeps me away from random people). If you aren't afraid of realistic, i highly recommend this gather.

And Australia only really has one host - GameArena. While the latest server version has given GA the opportunity to run custom maps now, there still doesn't seem to be a high demand within Australia for those kind of things.

Does this mean I could set up a R/S server using a cs script and ctf_de + ctf_cs maps?

EDIT: I'm on GameArea, and it cost $40AUS/month for 12 players?
I don't know USD but isn't it like 1USD/player there? That's either a couple of cents more/less then AUS  dollars. Why the hell do we pay $4ish per player? O.o

Try http://cubosgaming.com/, they're $1.50 AUD per slot, and quite reliable. They run linux too, so scripts should be a bit more stable. We currently use them for #aus.gather.

Coming from a prejudicial, racist, no life punk that seems more logical than anything I've ever heard. (It's not flaming cause I'm not emotional, I'm stating a fact, so if you want to warn me take that into notice)

On topic: The first gather I had ended with 21-50 something stats and I went insane. My average* K/D on pubs is 1.5-2.5
But that experience messed me up.
And don't think all gathers are like that, a couple of days afterwards I entered a gather with 250 ping, and called in a sub, but the others said it was OK and told me to cancel it, (They weren't saving "time" cause we were 2 people lacking).
It was one of the best gathers I ever played, people actually used terms like "ns", "gj", and "gg".
