ERADICATION WARS
Version 7.0

Eradication wars is a total conversion mod for the freeware game Soldat. (www.soldat.pl)
It delivers the most ultimate mecha action experience with these massive features:

*Over 50 weapons
*Congif app for weapon selection
*New sound effects
*New gosteks
*New interface
*Unique blast effects and fire
*New explosion and smoke
*New bonus kits
*New animations
*Blue sniperline
*Dramatic weapon effects

INSTALLATION:

Copy and replace all the extracted files into your /Soldat directory.
Do NOT put the files in /Soldat/mods directory.

Warning! This will overwrite the interface and bonus kit files,
so make a back up for them if you want to save them.

This mod was made at Soldat 1.5.0

USING ERA 7:

1. Open the Eradication-wars.exe
2. Choose your weapons and mechs
3. Check the "Use modified weapons"
4. Apply
5. Play

Soldat will then start with the selected weapons and you're ready to play.
You can choose any weapons you want each time you open ERA,
just remember to hit "Apply" to change your preferences.

I like it, I used to play the old ERA on 1.4.2 !Elite Snipe&Slice since the barret was just pwning nice

This is an update over the old ERA, I fixed up the things that were bothering me and added a few guns that I really wanted and felt like missing, most notably the new mp5 and steyr replacements. I needed a beefy feeling mp5 and I really liked the Phase Pulse Rifle from Mecha Soldat 2.3 so I made my own drawn from scratch. Also tweaked some random stuff and removed things that werent necesary.

Then the interface was a little messy, so I gave it a more cleaner and simplified look.

Another thing was difficult for some people, was the installation of the mod and difficulties with the .rar format (true story, I know it sounds dumb) or them putting the stuff in the mods folder because they failed to read the instructions or I typed them badly or something.

Most likely this will remain as it is with nothing new to add to it since real life is being a bitch again and I dont have much time nor motivation to work on this otherwise.
And with my mom being a control freak + having her periods dont make things happy either. : /

Still, if you're into mechs or just scifi, you wont be dissapointed, this mod is all about gameplay and dramatic effects. I've been using it ever since I created this mod and I still am. It's my own customization of soldat the way I like it and decided to share it with others. Hope you guys like it.

So, when will you make AAL for Soldat?
I like it now, the gosteks before werent the best ones.
Soldat for Cortex Command would be fine too.

Nah, ERA has everything I need in soldat for now.

Offtopic: As for the real AAL, for CC that is, I've done a massive tweak update on it and added some cool stuff to it and removed some crappy things aswell. The only thing remains is a massive space laser superweapon and that would be the last thing I'll do for AAL.

Now when i take a look, some images are quite familiar with some other mods, like the P-Discharger and AR-7 from Deadeye Rob's WH40K mod and some other ones which cant remember now.

Eradication Wars arsenal is made out of a collection of my favorite guns from various sources. Like most notably fuel rod cannon from halo, LAS rifle & P-Discharger (plasma gun) from Wh40k universe. Only about 5% of all guns were designed by me and are completely new and unique.

I did each weapon by spriting from scratch while looking at a concept pictures I found on the internet and trying to copy the design of it as best as I could.

And that is also how I learned to sprite.

Man, this is one of the reasons why Soldat will never die. I love ERA. I'm on a quest here to start up some dedicated servers in Calgary. An ERA server with all the ERA maps would rock (er well all the maps of a mode - either dm or ctf) for one of the servers. (Also with your permission - if I get that far) Thanks for continuing to work on this mod.
