Anti-Aimbot Script for clan fights / SCFTL
« on: August 17, 2009, 10:49:15 pm »
Here is an idea for a anti-aimbot script. (the server probably can't automaticly kick the aimbotter, but its good for admins to know if a player is aimbotting.

Spawn a dummy bot infront of the player, kick it, then spawn a dummy bot in back of the player and kick it, then repeat a few times. If the player acts rather quickly, with not-human reflexes, then you know he has an aimbot.

OR you can do the same thing, but use a player instead. For publics. The admin can use it on himself. Admin types /antiaim {slot number of the guy you think is aimbotting} and it teleports him in front and in back of the selected slotted player. This is good because some aimbots don't have trigger bot, and the player has to press the button to activate aimbot. Usually the player doesn't hold the button, so he presses it when he sees an enemy approaching. When the admin sees the player and he is close to him, activate the command.

Walla.

I think this is an almost perfect solution to aimbotting when admins are around.

Now, spawning a bot and removing it in such a speed can be a problem when it comes to the companions of the player, as it would obviously destroy their contrentration when they notice the bot, and at that speed it would rather be buggy.

Also, that would be more reliable for realistic, as if it is normal, he would see the enemy, and with a high dpi he can almost instantly turn around inside a few ticks.

But i like the basis of the idea.

Having a bot continuously spawn near players that'd actually act as a reverse meatshield during any kind of match - especially competitive matches - sounds like an excellent idea.

Continuously would be kinda overkill, I meant only a few times, enough for the admin to see. And it wouldn't really have to be that fast. 1 second in between would be fine.

He was being sarcastic.  ::)

And even if this script was effective for admins to see who's aimbotting and who isn't, it's also likely for the other players to team up against the bots and the player you think might be hacking to run from it or turn his aimbot off right when he sees it.

It would be so short it wouldn't be that bad. And hackers who don't know, won't know wth is going on. Caught.

How come almost everything I say you have to disagree with me?

Chill, it's constructive criticism, no need to get upset.

Basically, the base idea is good, but it is now impossible to do it possible and without affecting the other players/server.

Offtopic:
Kind of funny that the gather bot is technically a script. :P

it isn't, because an aimbot doesn't lock on the closest target, you pick what it shall lock on.

Umm... I have tried many many aimbots offline, of course or in my test server, and MOST lock on to the closest player.

I say most since you said that there is one that you pick, but everyone that I have tried, it locks on to the closest. To be honest, I don't see how that would work. Press different hotkeys for different players? I dunno...

you turn it off and on, once you've locked on a target, it doesn't matter if something comes closer to you or not.

but yeah, you said "most". I guess that goes for the bad ones~

I'm locking this since major's point proves miketh's idea worthless and because they both admitted to hacking.

edit:

Miketh, his post was right after mine..

Both of you are warned up to 90, muting you for 10 days each.

My oh my, how the silence is golden.!
