Hey :)

http://forums.soldat.pl/index.php?topic=29405.0
Thats the guide to make polyworks work for 32-bit.

Heres the magic trick to make your polywork work on 64-bit :)
Just do things told on that guide, but instead of "Windows/System", use "Windows/SysWOW64".

Spent many hours solving this, but in the end its so simple.. Stupid me :)
Well, now we know. Lol.

DO NOT put any of the legacy components used by PW into any of your system folders. It's better to keep them in your PW folder so they won't litter your system and cause any additional incompatibility problems.

^Indeed, it's true^
Figured if two people said the same thing, it would make it more impactful.

dx8vb.dll is not a PW file, its a system file that is missing in vista, and must be put in system folder manually in order to run polyworks.

dx8vb.dll is a relic library providing DirectX8 support for Visual Basic 6 applications such as PW. It was neglected by Microsoft a long time ago... And you'll be very lucky to find any other application relying on  it... And of course it's not used by the system anyhow. And you don't need to put it in system folder to use PW.

Nope, you still need to register it with regsvr32 command.
