Heh, can anyone of you imagine what soldat would be like if we used the physics and some "balance" points of the WWP arsenal? ;d

If you guys are serious about playing, I've got until school starts for a potential match: which is a week. Probably not going to work with all the timezones though as I'll be setting up a serious sleep-schedule.

As far as I know, map customizing is where it's at. I've done a few myself, making 2 alternate game-modes (both roping oriented), and a small tower map. I mean, with map sizes being limited to 10000x10000, anything is possible.

Ah yes, good ol' WA...
I used to love this game, and still do on occasion.

Have any of you guys played Liero X?

True.

The super sheep is my favorite weapon.
I haven't played any of the 3D worms games, but I do have Worms 2 and WA.

Yea, I tried a 3D one... it didn't shift over too well from the 2D style.
Were you playing Worms 3D, or Worms 4: Mayhem? 3D was playable, but after playing W4, the first one seriously felt like a crappy beta version of it. Probably too late now to ask you to give W4 a crack if you haven't, but yeah, it's definitely good stuff, far better than its predecessor.

As for WWP, I dunno. The WormPot was kinda fun to douche around with, but other than that, I didn't see too much about it that made me think it was so much better than WA. They were practically the same damn thing, and I liked the darker aura of WA better.

That said, I have the Sold Out releases of W2, WA and WWP, but I only have WA installed, and it's been an age and a half since I played it. I made a sound bank out of my own voice, but it really needs some work. I dunno, if you guys plan on hooking up a WA party or whatever, I'll think about making it if the time is right. :P

I'll play a game for fun whenever. I mean, you name the time and it'll either work or I'll have to politely decline.

I go by Flimmy online, but I could always change it up for easier recognition.

I think it's really hard to aim, jump, move around etc.  The game is more problematic than fun, in my opinion

Kind of sounds like Scorched 3D...
One of the things that I like about worms is the simpleness. Making it 3D would take that away. :(

I personally think that they should have stuck with the 2D graphics. The best thing about the 2D Worms series was the simplicity of it all. 3D graphics for a turn-based game is too complicated, thus not fun at all. Plus, for me, i'm not with the whole graphics over gameplay argument. I much prefer 2D games, for the simple reason that it's, well, simple.

Aye to that. Although the Megaman Legends series was taking advantage of new technology, I'd still play games that had those graphics. I guess that goes more into the balance between stylized games vs. games attempting to imitate realistic physics/gfx and the like.

Since we're discussing Worms.

I got a copy of Worms 2, and when I run it I get a error with the landgen file and a runetime C library error. I googl'd and there's only like two topics about this problem for Worms 2.

This signature was borked. Now it is not.
