TW_Gloryhill_10years V4
« on: September 03, 2009, 01:50:59 pm »
The name describes it all. This map is nothing but Gloryhill, but ten years in the future. It was the outcome of me learning how to use Polyworks. This is my first map in two years.

The buildings have been sunken, do to what looks like a sandy ground, and wear and tear has taken its toll. The middle still has two ways to do, plus a third if you don't make taking some damage. Waypoints still work without needing to be edited, so that was a plus.
Most credit goes to the original creators. This was only posted because a few people wanted to use it.
There will be a new version soon, showing more damage and destruction of the ground and bases.
There are no new needed textures or scenery needed.

There, the file is no longer password protected.
And now the file is dead... Hold on

There, it is now downloadable without password.

Has anyone tried it yet? For some reason, its giving me access violations.
EDIT: I am going to compile this with the Official Map Maker, seeing as Polyworks doesn't seem to be doing it correctly. Because I tried to play other Polywork made maps that I did in Soldat and they didn't work.

You exceeded the scenery limit. Fix it. Must be <500.

New version is up without access violation, thank you so much Wraith.

Also, I hope to see this in some TW servers.

Here is a sneak peak to some progress I just did.
It is gloomier, the buildings are sunken more, or destroyed, and scenery was removed so I can edit it further.

Hey, if it was +10 years, depending on the location of the place in the world, you'd think it would be a little happier looking. Just an idea. I'm sure it wouldn't appeal to a lot of people though.

V3's buildings are more destroyed, and the waypoint is slightly half fixed so the bots can get through. That, and its easier to get around now. V3 should be the final one, excluding bug fixes.

I noticed black sections in a few places. [see attachment]
Are these supposed to be there?

It does that for everyone in the Gloryhill maps. I don't know what is causing it. Kharn has been trying to figure it out.

A quick update. I am not liking the Rage 20 years map I am doing, it doesn't look too good.
I am also going to be doing my own map based on a setting in part 6 of Band of Brothers.
