As you may or may not know I like my adventure stories. Especially community involved ones. So I'm going to start a dwarf fortress game and provide accounts of what is happening. Ill name stuff that i need suggestions for and even if youve never played the game you can still suggest something and ill hopefully carry it out i.e. names of things, constructions, actions...
im keeping this intro short
in this game the computer randomly generates the entire world when you begin so no suggestions needed here
the plane of forever... ok
looks like we are on a brook/river. in a swamp. in the middle of nowhere. great. theres clay granite and obsidian in the ground too which sounds alright for making shit out of later. maybe a giant obsidian statue of flieslikeabrick
oh and we are neighbouring goblins by the way
now the fun part. names. we are starting out the adventure with seven dwarfs. a miner, a woodcutter, a carpenter, a mason, a planter, a brewer and a wrestler
you can suggest any name including your own or any thing or one you can come up with. oh and i am already naming the miner panzercatwagon
in the mean time we are carrying with us some beer and wine, some food and seeds, some crossbows, an anvil and two dogs and cats. and a cage for the little fucks
the names can be changed at any time so im embarking already just to check the place out
the map is pretty flat. theres a river zig zagging through the entire middle. the dwarfs and the wagon full of the stuff they brought is just to the left hand side of the river. time to check out who else is here
looks like an alligator decided to taint the new home with his presence. perhaps our new valiant wrestler might prove his worth to the clan?
