Its got good online play, but the campaign is kind of crappy.

I really enjoy how the sounds of the weapons are, lovely... but those sights, always the same

The campaign was O.k. but I know some people that hated it because they never tryed online play.

The best way to describe it would be, a mix of battlefield 2 and some-cold-war -game-that-i-forgot-the-name-of.

And one of the key problems for me was the assault rifle was underpowered.

yes on co op. pvp multiplayer will be even more fun when they patch it up

I was under the impression that the PC version would support full squads of atleast 8 men. PC version is 32 players still right? Is it pretty much the same as the console version?

Yeah console and pc are basically the same minus mission editor for console. The player layout is different depending on map and game mode. For campaign you play as a fire team with 4 members so it's always 4 people. There are 2 pvp modes right now, team deathmatch and infiltration which is the same idea in soldat only instead of a flag the chinese team defends an objective and the us team are spec ops that are trying to c4 it. US has better equipment especially on infiltration so the Chinese team gets more slots for human players than the us team.

Pvp is basically set up as fire teams that have usually 4 people in them or less; like a rifle team, which just has 4 riflemen slots, an anti tank team which has 2 AT soldiers, 1 medic, 1 rifleman, a sniper team which usually has 2 sniper slots, and so on.

Maybe I should just dig up my old CD's and start playing?

I've also played SH3, fun but can get a little boring for me sometimes.

Haha, haven't played MP 1 in about 4 years xD
First time I played it I got so addicted I finished all difficulty levels in a week.
The first was definitely better than it's sequel.
