That depends. I liked the world and atmosphere in morrowind better, but oblivion has much better gameplay mechanics and more interesting quests.

Oblivions combat, lockpicking system, npcs(actions, dialogue, and scheduling), and quest directions are far superior to Morrowind. That being said I like each game equally. I just mod them both to basically meet in the middle, works out great. Though on a thief character Oblivion has way more perks and is funner to play.

This. In fact, I loved Morrowind, but after playing Oblivion I simply cannot go back.
