Gucci Cave Story.
Note that it has been re-released on Wiiware recently, and has higher resolution graphics, remade music (though the originals are there too), and some nice bonus features.

Holy @!#ADERP, I just beat Populous a couple weeks ago. Man! I used to play the demo "way back in the day." It's an excellent game for what it is. Matter of fact, I beat that level without building a single hut in the starting area. You can actually beat a handful of the levels by just converting every wildman you see. You'll have at least a 100 braves in no time.

Was playing some Iron Blood on Windows 95. Pretty fun game.

And then the good ol' standby. Wood-boat wars on my remake of hugeflatmap

Strange coincidence, but I too got Populous not too long ago. Really loved the demo when I was a kid but could never beat it.

And now I cant even run it. :S

Nope, Windows XP. :S
I got it running, but it was a tad sluggish and the menu graphics were messed up.
