M79LAW vs. Polys

As the title yells, I have a suggestion of M79LAW weapons and Polys of all kind of maps.

I suggest, that if you're firing from LAW (the anti-tank weapon) towards map polys, they "accidentally" explode. Like, you shoot, and the missile crushes/eliminates/destroys/kills the polygon you shoot!

And it should be an option for check on/off in games (both online and offline).

So, what do you think?

reprogramming fro this would be a bitch for mm. also what about when you hit a humongous poly...would the whole thing break. And what if spawn points had no ground? I like it but all of those are problems so i voted ummmm... okay

This would just screw up every map, not making it any more fun. Plus, the land in Soldat isn't designed to change mid-game, that's mainly why moving polygons and the such have not been implemented.

i think soldat maps should be made in worms style.They would be easier to create and all but I hardly believe that would be possible:

that would only reveal all kinds of flaws in the maps, hit it with a little m79 and a massive/importaint triangle dissapears.

also many maps will lose their camping spots and such.

I think it should leave a tiny little dent, not enough to do much but w/e. I dunno how hard that would be to make.

Hmm, I don't see how something like this could fit into the gamess mechanics, it sounds like a good idea. If there was any way this could be put into the game comfortably then I'm all for it.

You'd then get people blowing up the map so that nothing exists anymore and the game would be impossible to win by either side. You'd have alternate routes removed, and actually knowing a map in and out so that you can better move around it would be wasted once certain polygons are removed.

Plus, those "Field maps" (The ones that consist of two polys to make a flat plain) would be destroyed after one hit with an m79.

I think the idea is'nt bad but some polys should'nt be destroyed by explosions such as the ones that enclose a map and around the base so it does'nt become spawncamper central. It should be custom taliored for each map. For custom maps it should not be allowed.

Specific destryable polys? That way you could have a wall or barrier that can be destroyed, but not totally destroy the whole map?

Its sounds good, I like it. But would be a hassal to do. I mean you could TUNNEL!!! through the map come up and behind the ctf flag lol. It would probly lag the server?...

Okay, I see the problem and have a soloution:

What, if server owners can make some polys (if the option is checked ON), that are invlunerable, like for spawn places/lead path.  ;)
