Permanent Weapon Choice

I wish there could be a permanent weapon choice instead of having to choose your weapon everytime you die. Why can't there be an option from the start if you want it to be the same weapons all the time. And maybe if you want to change after a while you can type some specific command to bring it back up. I don't think this would be so hard to make and it would stop you from press the number or clicking the gun whenever you die.

Guys, hit TAB before you spawn after you have died.

do what i did, change ur weapon select from tab to Left click, when you are on dead, just double click, then when u need a weapon change, PRESS the weapon number, don't click it, really easy

Whenever a game starts I either hit 2 or 5. Easy enough.

Better though is to remember which number goes with which gun. Much faster to pick that way.

I have "3" as my weapon menu. "1" as my chat, "2" as my teamchat. Didn't know you could pick it using numbers.

Guys. TAB should work whenever in the game. TAB should toggle whether or not the weapon choice will come on. It doesn't HAVE to open up the weapon choice right away.

Well, tab definitely always works while you're waiting to respawn. I don't think it appears ever other than then.

@OP: Maybe in the settings tab being able to pick a default primary weapon as well as the secondary would be helpful.

F11, there's already disable menu function assigned to tab (as default). And was about to suggest what jrgp said.

F11 use tab or whatever button your weapon-menu is on.
There is even a little pogram somewhere that lets you choose random weapon when pressing a button.

Lol, you actually reselect your gun each time you die? It is possible just to double click like Jerich said. Also, when you die you just press a number and will pick the gun.

Or you can just click to the side every time the menu pops up.

I thought that in soldat it's not possible to assign 2 functions to one key. Anyway, I like this idea and if I won't foreget I'll try that (cause now I'm more like inactive player).

Dumbass, stop your dickery since we try to help you. The thing is, that, if you are not a dumb guy, you can handle the weapon menu without any special function. Soldat is fast paced but shouldn´t be the way that you choose your weapons one time (if you like to) and then never again in game, sometimes you just need to change your guns because the guys who you are playing with need an other tactic.

This option has no point at all. Just use this ugly button with 2 vectors hitting brickwall.

How long have you guys played?

Tab will make your life easier. That IS the button for the permanent weapon choice.
