Yeah, I don't get that either. How is that insulting? Do I describe someone that way negatively when I refer to them in another context? No.

It shouldn't matter if he was Buddhist, Taoist, Jewish, Wiccan, Christian, Mormon, satanist, etc. It's not an insult, it's just an adjective.

Exactly, that bit about atheists not being concerned for the greater good was a gud yoke since there are plenty of religiously affiliated people that are quite selfish in their pursuit of personal goals.

What's even sadder is that he called me an atheist incorrectly; I'm not. I'm a 'tentative' roman catholic. I believe going to church every now and then is important and most of the rules are to 'help' you, but I strongly go against certain parts of it. (the no sex before marriage, fapping, etc)
