Yeah and you would completely retarded if didn't go to a water supply.

I think a gas station would be a good idea though, just build some defense and you're ready to go.
And someone accidentaly blows up the gas tank.... And kaboom!

I would just simply say any supermarket or hypermarket. s**t-loads of food and creative traps can be made out of those places.

What gas tank? All the gas is underground.

I suppose a cool idea would be to locate an army base nearby and see if you can find anything nice.

Or even take refugee in one, in case the guys are still ok.

Ummmm, yes.
If we're talking about the modern zombies, fast, strong, and somewhat smart, then you wouldn't want to have a ton load of zombies getting their hands on firearms would you?
(But yeah, zombies can't use weapons for shit, so...)

NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! not fast zombies!!!!! If we get zombies that can run I'm just going to shoot myself and get it over with.... :'(...Trust me smart and fast zombies are not fun in any way....(also I might add from a scientific understanding you cant have smart or fast zombies  :P)

I said that because, if they let people come close enough to be inspected, some zombies don't look very zombie like, and they might not show that many outward signs of infection. They could still have a functional larynx

yeah, I'm sure zombies got the same movement pattern and social behavior as living humans.

Yeah I'm THAT close to believing that zombies exist. I think I've trapped one and I have the proof to disprove your theory there, Major.

You must admit, it's a well written fictional survival guide. I don't know many people who find survival guides to be "good literature", so, in that sense, your edit applies, but it's remarkably humorous if you actually read it. As for WWZ, I have never read it.

Speaking of zombies and infections. Watch "Rec". It's the movie that the shitty hollywood piece of shit: Quarantine is based off of. Sure gives you something to think about in case you get trapped or sealed in a building with a very bad infection. That is a possible scenario. In 2012, when there are pandemics and new strains, I could see the authorities sealing off and locking down entire buildings if they suspect a nasty virus or whatever inside. In the movie, the people obviously had no idea and therefore were ill prepared. If one is prepared, you could probably hold back zombies easily - as long as there is a limited number, such as 5 to 15. This also depends on where you are in the building. For instance, if it is an apartment building and you can find an empty apartment or a currently used apartment that is stocked with food and supplies... but no zombies in it.. sealing and barricading the door would probably be enough until authorities came in and freed you.
