As it has been suggested many times before there is a real need of a change of the filter options in Soldat. Right now I have some options to choose from and search the lobby without any saving options for the filter settings. My suggestion is to change it in several points:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- Add the possibility to choose more than one gamemode that should be filtered out of the lobby.
- Add the possibility to save your own custon filter settings and a loading possibility.
- Add some setting filtering options; there could be a standard window that can be advanced with more options like "bullet time" (many don´t like the slow motion camera), duration of a round, players maximal / players minimal and so on and so on ...
- Add filtering option to filter out custom gamemodes (all servers with scripts)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you have things to add: I will take them into account. I won´t add a poll since there are too less forumers that actually take place in a poll.

As long as you have enough options so that you can narrow down your search to a minimum, you don't really need your own custom filter settings and a loading possibility, do you?
I don't play so much public anymore, but I'm guessing all the different gamemodes nowadays makes is more needed.
As an example, you can choose realistic only, but you can't choose 'not realistic'
I allways ticks: Battleeye, passworded, bots.

Been suggested many, many times, I hope it does get better though but we don't need so many filtering. I guess EnEsCe should rather focus on the more important things on Soldat for now. There aren't THAT many servers for Soldat anyways, doesn't really need so much filtering.

So ~600 servers "aren´t THAT" many servers? I don´t think so. Well, to point out what I want is, that, if I am a normal CTF player and choose CTF as a filtering option I will get the normal and the realistic servers. If I would like to play Dodgeball I could choose CTF and survival mode and would get all Dodgeball servers. It makes it much easier to get what you want to get.

All I want.

This needs to be implemented of course!

Three addition I have to make:

Searching by names /without specific ones (example: (!WM)).
Searching by servers with online admins / without.
Searching by max players / minimal (to find 1on1 servers and whatnot).

What about searching by player name? To easily find your friends?

I had this idea, too, but it would be too complicated and would take far too much time to search so I screwed it.

If you did friend searching, either you need to make each server send a list of all it's players to the lobby, increasing resource use there, or have a separate lobby to manage it (which is what the lobby chat is attempting to be).

Just get Xfire or something.
When life hands you High Fructose Corn Syrup, Citric Acid, Ascorbic Acid, Maltodextrin, Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate,
Magnesium Oxide, Calcium Fumarate, Yellow 5, Tocopherol and Less Than 2% Natural Flavour... make Lemonade!

Exactly what I thought of.

Now EnEsCe should post and tell us whether this shall be implemented or not.

Well, I had new filters in, but I had to remove them a few days ago because my request to have the changes applied to the lobby server (which I don't maintain) was never done for almost half a year now, so I am not going to let it further delay the release of the next version.
