Consoles can go burn in hell.

Trying to shoot with two mini joysticks attached to a wretched controller is beyond me.

Yeah I'm so... nah I'm still gonna buy it.  I don't hang around with clans so I have no need for player/clan owned servers.

Think of the other side damn it, console players play Infinity Ward's games too.
Console players are the reason IW is gimping the PC version in the first place.  They want the game to be equal on all platforms.  It's total bulls**t, I say.

does that mean they all have ps3 graphics?

no? darn. well bang goes that theory

Consoles are overrated!

IW is going to loose lots of players because of that.

I'm sure going to enjoy 8 vs 8 servers, paying for DLC's and the game dying out in less then year.

It's not going to die out in less than a year. The foundation of multiplayer games are not the dedicated servers, it is the public servers. Sure, they might lose a few customers, but there is definitely a higher percentage of casual gamers who want to slip a few games in every so often than the hardcore gamers who play in clans everyday and actually care about this issue.

I think there is a petition out on the web regarding the demand of dedicated servers to reutrn of about 125,000 people. They are approximating at least 11 million copies being sold. Do you think IW will actually change their mind because of those people in the next few weeks? I dunno.

Totally 200% agreed with you. However, since I was a Halo fan (until ODST that fucking piece of shit failure), I got this: http://xim360.com/?page_id=2

Well, I got the first iteration (I had to solder it into my controller myself), which was a lot cheaper, but still a lot of trouble to get mouse and keyboard functionality with an xbox. None the less, I'm set up now so any I can play any shooter with mouse and keyboard on either my PC or Xbox.

But, still pissed as well with IW's decision. I don't understand why developers are choosing to limit network functionality these days... and I fucking hate matchmaking. When I play TF2, I have some favorite servers that I visit that have some of the most awesomes characters and teammates one could have in a multiplayer game. A lot of those guys frequent those servers almost daily. Plus, it's nice to have the option to play on any particular server for as long as you want.

Too bad Infinity Ward isn't Zipper Interactive. And too bad Infinity Ward isn't making MAG which, even in its beta stage at the moment, has probably the best server structure ever.

Of course they would make something like that. I mean, having a controller to shoot with is insane, so obviously instead of revolting against the use, they improvised and came up with a solution as to this.

We can always make/create the analog stick sensitivity...

Same thing as mouse sensitivity you know.

However you can't quite change the fact that hand+mouse is a lot more dexterous than thumb+stick.

There are just certain types of games that I prefer playing on PC and some that I prefer playing on consoles. First person shooters just feel more natural and smooth on the PC. Third person action games, on the other hand, such as Prototype, feel more natural with a controller in hand, mostly because games like that make use of a sequence of buttons and that gets confusing on a keyboard. Same thing with fighting games.

On topic, though, the first level of this game looks horribly uncomfortable and amazing at the same time. The thing I've always liked about Call of Duty is that it manages to invoke the feeling of war in a person, rather than just showing them.

COD4 had an "astounding" number of pirates. They will very much care when a quarter million people pirate the game on release day.
