Halloween
« on: October 31, 2009, 09:16:27 pm »
I guess I'm lost outside the times (at least tonight).

Got stuck at home Halloween night. Never really regarded this holiday with much fondness, in both memories and what I do each year. I had some stuff planned with a good friend of mine this year, but as it turns out, he's sick last minute, and I've got no backup plans.

So I'm literally stuck at home this year eating some of the Halloween nuts and Cranberries we're passing out. Hell, I haven't had good peanuts in months!

Any of ya poor saps in my shoes this Halloween? assuming you/your country celebrates it. Or simply tell your tale of grandeur tomorrow of what you did.

I was going to celebrate Halloween somehow, but I caught the flu and now I am bored to death just lying in bed burning up.

Yeah we never did much on Halloween...just sit around and eat all the junk food that we where suppose to give to the kids that come by....

But I did do one thing for fun...I left a note on the front door that read "Hiding in the basement EATing All ur candie!"....But that's all.

 -EDIT-
Oh yeah for fun maybe (for those that went out) show us some pics of your costume.

All I did was doll-up a friend's photo of his Halloween costume ["Tony Stark"]:

Worked, bought about $50 worth of ammo I am going to shoot off tomorrow. Hung out with a few friends, got to see a bald chick(kinda hot), watched the GA/FLA game and Saw 6.

Tomorrow I got church, a game of football with friends then off to my house for some shooting. This is a good weekend.

Sounds like it. I'd give for a weekend like that right now.

Eh, actually I'm going downtown tomorrow with a pretty gal, and we're gonna shoot up the place with my Nikon F100 and 4004s.

I was voluntold to come in to work today to volunteer for an open-house event to promote our program (courses). I said ok, but only for a few hours. I ended up getting duped into staying a whole 8 hours, being left to cleanup the damn display at the end of the day. I got home late, pissed off some trick or treaters - because I wasn't home for half the evening. I'm usually the most candy giving house in my neighborhood. I've just been getting over a nasty cold this week - so still feel shitty today, plus my gf got a really nasty case of the flu last weekend and was told to stay in isolation for 7 days. She still feels crappy today, so we had to cancel our annual midnight Halloween fun - which involves a small party, then rockin it down at the local (artist-taken over) rundown Plaza theatre to watch the Rocky Horror Picture Show. *sigh* no throwing toast tonight. Anyway the day could be worse. It's El Nino right now which is making everyone sick and screwing up this wonderful holiday... not to mention the damn school I work at for hosting an open house event on Halloween... what were they thinking?

Wow, so you work at a school (ahoy captain obvious)?

I guess it could have been worse: George Carlin. Start at around 2:40 if you're interested in hearing some great comedy.

Even after the mischeif night (day/night before halloween), I had to defend my house from the pesky middle school kids. And it sucks, because I could've just simply go get some free candies with my friends -_-

At least I shot some kids and made them cry.

Halloween was f**king awesome for me.  Got back to Edinburgh, Scotland after leaving Hungary the day before.  Didn't have a costume, so raided the costume closet with the 13 (unlucky!) other people who had already gotten back to the house, happily drinking absinth and cider along the way.  Ended up going as a crazy wizard butcher with a noose around my neck, and I spent the rest of the night in the city center clubbing/walking around until 6am, posing for shots with random strangers and getting wizard kinky with all of the witches.

P.S. nuts and cranberries?  I used to hate people like you
