A little Gostek problem
« on: November 11, 2009, 01:38:19 pm »
Hey guys!
Well I'm new here...so sorry if this is the wrong section for my question.. >.<
Soo... I'm currently making a little prawn (the aliens from District 9) Gostek and... yeah I've got all the bmp-parts in-game but everything looks so... "turned-around-and-will-not-fit"
Here's a little screenshot so you can see what's wrong... =/

So... how do I fix this... creepy little guy?

Well here's how the gostek pieces are relative to the actual mesh. Dunno if this helps. Arrows indicate 'down.'

Also, dont forget that the offsets are used from the top left corner of the sprites.
Last year, I dreamt I was pissing at a restroom, but I missed the urinal and my penis exploded.

Thanks guys!
@Espadon
Ok, I made everything like in your posted pic but it don´t worked.
So I took a sprite of a D9-Exosuit-thingy and adjusted them like the one before. I´ve also considered the maximum high and width of the parts (36x36 and 12x12).
And now I´ve got those...boxes around the parts:

Well looks like something's not using correct color for background transparency? It should be 0:255:0.

Did you make any modifications to weapons?

Ah, ok!
Yep, ok I found a nice mod for the game Codex Commander (didn´t even play it tough) with some nice weapon sprites and aaaaall this stuff. So I "converted" them for Soldat...well I´m currently on it ;)
Here the mod:
