This sounds really interesting! I don't like the Soldat Portal. Just makes Soldat simplicity worse.

Question: Will you put a clan tag option beside name, because, with soldat portal(just guessing) you register you whole name, and if you change it slightly, eg clan tag or letters, then it wont be the same, so soldat portal will not work.

Whoah, some of those bugs in fixed were something I've never even noticed or heard of. Incredible how broken the game was.

I'm gonna test it although I'm not diggin the sound of this "soldat portal" just yet. I will proceed to nerdrage here after testing, if it sucks that is.

Seems like hours of excellent work. Thanks man.

Just 2 things i wanted to say:
- is there any chance that ammobugs (starting with several bullets ore depleting clip with just one shot) will be fixed in the nearest future? It's a nightmare for a minimiwhore like myself :]
- do we rly need more invisible barriers for some players and more invisible exploding traps? Such maps will significantly decrease soldat's ability to attract new players as its greatest advantages compared to other games were fast pace and simplicity. With more and more strange barriers ppl will get annoyed faster than they will be able to learn how to deal with it.

PS.
Just a note for the future: building facebook's clones around... everything usually ends up with destroying the original project. Plz be careful with portals etc.

Well... We don't need to worry about scaring ppl away with invisible walls - if i had to wait so long for an activation email for a 2D shooter when i launched soldat for the first time i wouldn't be here now...

Login for oldfags, guess no-registration accounts for newfags.

I honestly THink that the portal is very good. This version should be the best there is.. its like an actual game now. In the future soldat should still be the 2d side scroller but with WAY BETTER graphics and a system to add friends etc. anyway gj (Y)

Your username is the only thing that cant be changed, and your username is irrelevant to your ingame name.

The changelog looks great, but the game does not want to start (screenshot attached). I'm on Windows 7 x64.

EDIT: Tried running in compatibility mode and also as an administrator, but nothing changes.

EDIT2: I restarted my computer and it works fine now.

EDIT3: What the hell happened to all the maps?

You misspelled "gender" in the create account screen..

also, why does anti-aliasing still not work on Vista or 7? (only works on XP for me)

Its the biggest s**t ever. It just robs the simplicity of the game and why the f**k you need accounts to play soldat?


I know that an account is free but this is a small first step to change this game lto a game like warrock

example:

Unlock Minimi = Play 90 hours

Somehow I agree with Sh07gaN. I just don't like it as you have to login to play. Time and effort to create an account when it's easier just not having it.

The Problem isnt the time which you spend on creating an account, the problem is that you are dependet on your account to play soldat and I see big problems on this, ppl soldat is not a steam game
