Hardware IDs aren't reliable, they can be spoofed and lots of people that buy prebuilt machines from Dell etc will have the same hardware ID. Account IDs are the only thing that can't be spoofed

you seriously gotta rewrite that damned netcode, 1.5 got like 25% eat, 1.5.1 got 50-75% eat, and a lot warpier.

after playing like 2 hours I have to admit that hes right...it was a lot more warpier/laggier than 1.5.0...and I think this was not the fps-drop...

ehm and, @enesce, something completely else: what does your loginserver actually log? are you able to check if I played the last 2 hours? which servers? when leaving, when joining? which weapon I like most? and stick that to my IDTag?
I mean it could be possible now (but I guess there wouldn't be much benefit for you)

Let's just keep adding a shit tonne of USELESS content into the game and beat around the bush about the one real problem with soldat. (Login system... wow, turning soldat into an MMO?)

Fix the netcode, or give the source-code to someone capable of doing it.

Well, I must agree with everyone else. The lag and blips are more frequent. But when its not crazy from lag i think it moves smoother then 1.5.0. But again.... Warding off the lag seems to be the hard part.

Nice updates, but seriously,

- simplicity
- fps
- functionality

those are the things we really care about, you can make all these new changes all you want but at the end of the day its only making the main problem worse, and i wonder what that is.

I do like what you have done with the various menu updates. But from what i hear... Some of the players feel like no one is listening to what they/we really want.

I use Windows 2000, and IE 7 and 8 aren't able to be installed.. So when this autoupdater opens, nothing happens. I've looked around the forum but can't find if you have the updates on your site or not.

I don't understand everyone's frustrations. I feel like soldat has upgraded hugely with the built-in portal system (although i don't see where that's going, but we'll see) (and i don't see people's problems cuz you can auto login and pretty much never have to worry about it thereafter). I haven't gotten any FPS errors or other problems, and to me, the netcode absolutely does not seem worse than previous versions. I don't see how you can fix the "netcode" if the problem is that people have slow connections.  i generally join servers <100 ping and everything rolls fine. i like the new built-in updater too.

It still says I need to register to use the protect feature. It says it on the profile screen I'm registered and I have access to all other features. New patch applied and running 1.5.1.2

Because your account is not premium. You need to bind your registration key to the account.
