Conspiracy in the Midst of Propaganda
« on: November 21, 2009, 03:06:10 pm »
This world is rich with promising and convincing propaganda. My call to you is to question everything, every advertisement. You know what "they're" after: money. It makes the world go 'round. The love of money is the root of all evil.

I push you to even question me, but you will find (or already know) that I am right, and much more if you do the research.

If you want to know who I mean when I say "they're," please ask. I'll do my best to answer properly.

Advertising is an economic necessity in any market with imperfect competition.

Actually, money is just a means to an end. The desire to thrive is the root of all evil.

The desire to thrive is the root of all evil.
But where does ambition end and greed begin?

Greed starts when needs are met. Doesn't mean it's all bad, just not needed so greeded.

Ambition != need

Ambition is what you want, not necessarily what you need.

Greed is usually defined as ambition in excess. Do you mean to say that ambition is always in excess?

No, just that greed is always ambition.

Oh please, money is the gateway to most anything. So yes, indirectly, "the desire to thrive" may be held in that position, but money is the direct means for which to do many-a-thing.

And who cares if it is greed or ambition. Regardless on what is agreed upon, the same underlying principle is in play (hording/excess/power.. whatever you want to call it).

Yeah it's true that advertisers suck, yadda yadda yadda. Old news.

And get real, I'm referring to the corruption under it. Some advertising is beyond basic deception. Oh the world is rank with poisoned money-hungry people. Of course everyone is money hungry, but the extremes that a few industries go too! To decrease the world's population by indirect murder... if you only the populous knew, but we're held back from knowing and conditioned to think we're smart enough. Gimme a break ::)

Advertising is an economic necessity in any market with imperfect competition.

Oh for goodness' sake, duh, advertising is good. I'm not naive.

No, money is INDIRECT. The direct means would just be obtaining that which the person desires.

You failed to understand the point if you think I'm arguing semantics.

You're side of the argument is convoluted. Please elaborate.

And with the money being indirect or not, we all know how the personal monetary system works (or know enough to recognize that one needs money to obtain their materialistic goal).

It makes the world go 'round.

If you think the world must go around and feel that money is evil then you too have been affected by what you question.
