Here is the revised version for Soldat 1.6.3
Changed:
10 % smaller
Spawnarea reworked
More Exposed Capping area
Faster respawn of flag ~6 seconds
Changed polys for faster movement

All in all it should reduce the standoffs and make for faster capping.


*note* map is playable in #soldat.mapping and I'll appreciate feedback.

- The own flag can be boosted to inaccessible parts of the map with Spas. E.g. you can put it to the rock closest to where it spawns.
- The top part of the bases is very inaccessible and badly realized in general. In cases of stalemates (both flags taken) this can be as boring as B2b.

Otherwise I like the idea, most of the time it's a fun map. Some tricky situations are completely different from any other map I've played. The shoot-through, non-flag-colliding polys with the falling flag make it very interesting.

Its worth mentioning, that the flag can be pushed out of its normal 'rotation' by shooting it to either side, making it very hard for the opponent to reach it.

Also I'm just not happy with the map as a whole. Amazonas or InSync were more fun, more straightforward.. this is mostly waiting and hoping not to get sniped from top..

At the moment I really do not like this map as it really is too slow alot of camping as ffc waiting for the return... waiting for some luck. Like Vvoot mentioned inSync was the same type of map and was better imo, because its smaller.

So heres an idea that I think might help:
Basically open up the top path and remove the low path completely



This might might make it a bit too tight because the two paths are so small but imo something needs to be done so that rushing is easier and makes the map more fast paced.

This map should definitely be included. It's nice to have a few maps that have odd ways of capturing the flag...
