Mechwarriors LL
« on: December 29, 2009, 06:50:53 pm »
Mod for crysis that was released a couple of days ago in beta; works well just needs to fix lag and crashing.  It's as fun as it looks and has lots of content and as you get more kills in the match you can buy bigger and better mechs, tanks, aeros and so on.  Uploading a bunch of pictures because it looks so damn good.  In these I don't even use a mech, just the tiny human suit but you can hide well and you can buy a decently powerful blue arm weapon thing.  If you aim well at the cockpit you can shoot enemy pilots out and steal their mech.

This level has really weird gravity, so you float in the aero's which are fighter jets and in the vtol hover things.  Also gets pitch black when it is blocked from the sun.

enemy aero flying in to get blowed up

This is the marshland level.  I blew up an enemy pilot and got in his mech.  It was by their hangar so i was killing some in there but I didn\'t last too long.

Here's even more

enemy pilot bailed from his mech so I jumped on his mech then pew pew.

So the graphics are homebrew with the crysis engine right?

Yeah it uses the crysis engine and is only on the first game but it will eventually be switched over to wars because I think it has a better netcode.  I also saw somewhere that 2 of the people on the modding team work/worked for crytek as well.

Ah, it looks sweet.  Are there any system requirements somewhere?  is it very computer intesnsive?

It takes the requirements of crysis and then a bit more because there is more going on than in vanilla crysis gameplay. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MechWarrior_Living_Legends

Cool, I got crysis wars today and I might try this out even if it'll be a lagfest.  (when they change it over to wars, that is)
