Too unbalanced for TM, with a survival bug area at the Bravo respawn(you can fall and reborn).
Most people in my country hates this map cuz is too limited to make tactics.
Could be replaced by another better. ;)

The reborn thing seems like a feature to me... ofc its unbalanced for any gamemode, but, maybe some maps call for not a perfect balanced in the end.
Its ugly btw.

The gold old glory days are gone, we must appreciate the new wind blow, well, we got no choise in the end.
Ofc i dislike some maps, like lanubya/ruins, but ima sure some ppl like it, or get used to... buy since the map is playable i play anyway
Surely Veoto is playable, the possibility to fight outside the map is a must, but the reborn shit is too close to the map edge, and that reborn shit is not new, Airpirates got a polly where you can reborn too, but with much more risk to abuse it.

@ON

Here \/ you got a poly warp bug, like cambodia and airpirates, but i dont think the mapper created it intentionaly. I figured out playing at Leo's DM today, and its kinda game breaker (mk3x ftw)

It seems nobody is defending original version. So in this case modification with some major changes would be welcomed.

Update:

- Added a lower way, may be used as alt route.
- Added a block on right side to not allow players to out map.
- Added a deadly polies to not allow ppl to abuse the reborn.

Duz's Veoto makeover is very commendable. I think the appearance of the original is what completely turned me off to it, but his more than saves it!

Original wasn't too bad (and it's not that ugly, especially comparing to some other maps), but constant offmapping was really annoying. Layout is rather unbalanced, but for DM map it'll do I guess.

I really like duz's changes. Great job.
I don't really trust that block that's supposed to prevent offmapping. Maybe someone skilled enough will manage to boost his way around it (don't forget there's such thing as minisurfing). Just to be safe - make outside polys deadly and maybe add vertical walls too. Also, the map is still a bit unbalanced. Left side is still at disadvantage, and that lower route is the fastest way to red base, so I suspect that blues won't even bother with upper routes. Maybe you should move blue spawns somewhere else?

Yeah, they're awkward and would be better to just be another wide floating rock (which would also make it much easier to manage bots up there). But even as it is I'd still take it over the original. :P L[0ne]R's landscaping is nice, too.

Author of the original map here.

A couple of notes:

  • I never intended this map to be an official map. A friend had sent it to MM while I was away, so I wasn’t even aware of that before – for some reason – it was made an official map in the next release.
  • This map is not only old and unfinished but also not the latest version I had made when it was sent to MM. Which is why it has a lot of polybugs, the respawn bug (the original idea to handle that was to something along the lines of AirPirates), and other odd stuff like the “light” at the bottom right having different texture than the rest of the lights, which had been fixed in the latest version. Sadly I lost the fixed version years ago.

Frankly, I would prefer if it would be removed from any future versions of Soldat.
