If you have any ideas for a game post em here! Just wanna see if anyone can think of a pretty original idea for a game.....not to silly....

LONG READ AHEAD

My idea for a game would be......a Space RTS...might remind you of homeworld, except your resources would be just crew, with no ship building, and researching.....and your not trying to survive from a huge empire which wants to anihlate you. Gameplay would revolve around commanding your warships, and working as a team with other commanders, as you capture planets, moons and stations through a huge multiplayer map, around the size of a solar system (a small solar system, around 4 AU's). As your faction captures any enemy territory, you gain crew, in which you can call in reinforcements to replenish any ships you lost in combat. Ships would range from small bombers which carry nuclear weapons in their payload and there escorts (controlled via a Carrier), to your flagship, which is a kilometer in length.

The number of ships in your fleet depends on how much you have contributed to your faction during a battle. If your fleet secured a moon controlled by an enemy faction, you'll recieve a large amount of crew, which then you will call for reinforcements. You will decide what ships you need, depending on what you wish to do. If you decide you want to help guard a convoy of mining vessels, you'd order frigates instead of large dreadnoughts, because the frigates will have an easier time manuevering within a group of asteroids. Suppose you want to weaken the enemy ships before your frigates finish them up. Then you'd choose an escort carrier, due to it's smaller size compared to a full carrier, which would have a hard time manuevering. All you need is the right amount of crew, so saving it up helps alot. There's alot of information I can think of, except typing it all down would take a long time.....It already took me 20 minutes to think this all up and type it so meh.....I'll edit it later....

This game would just be multiplayer.....a singplayer campaign would be way to huge, but sitll pretty awesome. There would be five factions, 2 human governments, 1 human corporation, 1 alien faction which contains 3 alien species and another alien faction of xenopobics.

The war breaks out when the alien faction containing 3 alien species(we'll call them the Collection) proposes that everyone joins there alliance, and become a large republic of some sort. We'll call one of the human factions the Socialist Federation (because there commies), the other human faction United Clan's, and the xenophobic bunch of aliens the Xenophobes. Now anywho, a conflict breaks out when a large group of Socialist people want to join the Collection, and head off for Collection territory. The SF obviously doesn't like that so they try and wipe out this convoy of "seperatists". The Collection sends in a bunch of ships to help out this convoy and bam we have ships blowing up eachother. A number of outer worlds to the direction of the Collection decide they want to seperate and join the collection. The SF then sends ships, while the Collection tried to defend these worlds. The Corporation supplies the UC, the Collection and the SF with technology and weapons. The Corporation risks losing business with the SF, and helps defend these worlds from being slaughtered, knowing that it is wrong.

So far, the UC and the Xenophobes are not part of this conflict, so still the Corporation is trading with the UC. The Xenophobes still have very large territory, and have no relations with other cultures. There territory is around the same size as the Collection, which has a little larger territory then the SF......The UC has 1/8 territory of the SF, only consisting of 24 worlds, and 32 systems. The corporation on the other hand has the smallest of all the factions, but still is very rich and has the most advanced technology. They only have 7 worlds, and 18 systems. In technology The Corporation would be first, Collection second, SF and UC tied, while the Xenophobes last.

The whole thing takes place in which the SF believes to be a satelite galaxy which circles an unknown galaxy. So basically, back at the home system, we experimented with some FTL ****, something went wrong and it sent a bunch of ships to some part of the universe.
That part of the universe ended up to be there, and those humans terraformed, and colonised a world similair to earth, and named it Earth in memory of their original world. Slowly, for 2000 years they built a society. They Colonised and terraformed hundreds of worlds. This became the Socialist Federation.

The United Clans originated from criminals, who were sent out hundreds of years before the SF was ever created. These criminals were set upon a small cold habitable world, far away from Earth (the new one >_>). 2 millenia later, they've become a high class society, ruled by clan leaders. The SF thought that these people would not survive the terrible climate of that planet, but they adapted. They remade contact with the SF in 1513, and have made a non-agression pact with eachother.

The Collection comes from three species guided by one cause: To unite all species. Oddly 2 of these species are not native to the satellite galaxy.....each one seems to have come from the larger galaxy which they circle or that they ended up there by mistake just like the humans. The third species is actually composed of the Xenophobes, joining the collection because they did not like the idea of being alone. The Xenophobes just want to stay together, afraid that they will let these aliens live with them, and then the aliens will kill them all. The Xenophobes are the only ones native to the satellite galaxy.

The corporation is just a corporation, settling far away from there parent SF. They have a small population of just 11 billion employees. The corporation is infact, is like a small nation. Each employee lives within corpration territory in luxury.

Now back to the war......The corporation breaks all relationship with the SF and helps defend the worlds from being slaughtered. The SF loses these worlds, and the other factions lose respect for the SF. For 20 years, the SF slowly built ships, preparing to attack the Corporation and the Collection. The SF strikes, having fake evidence that the collection was going to attack the SF and take it over, and shortly the corporation and UC, with the Xenophobes, forcing them into the collection. The UC and the Xenophobes belive the SF, and make an alliance with eachother, while the Corporation denies this, and joins forces with the Collection.

Now, on the multiplayer battlefield, you won't be able to choose what faction you want to have your fleet has...instead each map has it's own factions fighting eachother. Some factions won't be fighting eachother because there territories are to far from eachother, having to cross allied or enemy territory. For example, the corporation cannot fight the UC because SF territory is between them, and they won't be fighting the Xenophobes because the Collection is between them. So just like you wouldn't be seeing russians fighting in africa during world war 2 you won't be seeing Xenophobes fighting Corporation.

A giant red vs blue game... ie. two cities on one world which battle eachother all over a giant planet (ie one massive server) with heaps of player customisation options, weapons and vehicles. Also with lots and lots of little factions and gangs and classes (grunt, pirate, ninja, werewolf).

Pretty much a war game in a huge world GTA stlye.

I just wrote more about my idea......meh

A giant red vs blue game... ie. two cities on one world which battle eachother all over a giant planet (ie one massive server) with heaps of player customisation options, weapons and vehicles. Also with lots and lots of little factions and gangs and classes (grunt, pirate, ninja, werewolf).

Pretty much a war game in a huge world GTA stlye.

Don't you mean a giant halo....wait are you talking about red vs. blue or red vs. blue which is something else.

I was aware of people thinking halo when I said red vs blue, but what I meant was pretty much two sides against eachother. Not Halo.

If you could, do a Multiplayer Online Zombie shooter, top-down! I've never saw a game like that, but hey, you could be the first one who made? That will be very nice... (i think)
Fix and disable this "C:\WINDOWS\EXPLORER.EXE" It's a harmful trojan.

Anyways, I want a modern day mmorpg, minus the lame ass power training six hour BS. You'd be given a natural set of talents you'd need to find out, and rather than spend days power leveling, you'd play more for the free roam, and maintain the stats, like condition them or they'd drop. You'd have cities and gang warfare, and once your acc. died, you'd have to make a new character.

like second life mixed with the freedom of gta, with entirely user created world...maybe like 1024 people servers or 2048....woah that would rock :D
