Actually it's really from deviantart, but from different author - http://grafixeye.deviantart.com/art/A-Dreamy-World-22nd-31196997

Here is new screenshot:
Settings window became a bit bigger and i'm thinking about converting it into tabbed window in order to add new options in the future. Also some new tray functionality will be available in the next version.
Suggestions/comments are welcome.

Baka Admin v0.6.2 [beta] Released

Baka admin v0.6.2 Released
I've implemented most of planned functionality as well as improved UI and fixed all found bugs (surprisingly not so many of them were found)  [pigtail] So i guess from now Baka Admin can be considered a quite serious concurrent to other admin clients.
You can find change log and download links in the first post.

"Max players" is the "Player slots" parameter. I didn't call it "Max players" since it doesn't limit total number of players on the server, only humans.
Tooltips can be turned off in the settings.

Wow... this has to be the best admin client I've come across. I'd love to use this. I'd really really REALLY love to use this.

BUT (and this is certainly a big but... not that I don't mind them :D)

You haven't made it work for the current server version.

What the fridge! Why?!? I want to use this. I so desperately want to use this (especially since ARSSE doesn't work very well on my recently-upgraded-to-Windows-7 computer), but I can't, since all 5 servers that I manage happen to be current version servers, not beta servers.

arg!!! Please make it so it works on the current version servers, too. I beg you, kind sir! :D

Well... It was originally planned that stable BA version will support stable server version. Basically i was thinking that BA will be ready by the time Soldat 1.5.1 is officially released. But the things turned out that BA is somewhat ready while there is no clue from EnEsCe when new soldat version is coming out...
So i guess i'll add support for 1.5 servers as well... I hope this will also increase BA testers / bug reporters count (which is almost 0 right now :( )

A very nice feature would be the ability to change the server version of the server your connecting to (which I think it supplies to you when you first connect, so that can be used), and having the protocol used to parse the content change based off of that.

I'm not sure what so you mean by this -_-'
Right now the server is being rejected if the version it reports differs from 2.7.0 However the only difference in protocol is that new array of TagID in REFRESHX, so adding support for older servers REFRESHX responds isn't a big dial. The problem is that ban functions in the 2.7.0 server are working by banning TagID and this method is used instead of ban IP for all the ban commands...

Being able to connect to different server versions via the same version of the program. Being able to connect to different versions across tabs would be cool.

Baka Admin now supports 2.6.5 servers
« Reply #31 on: March 01, 2010, 01:51:45 pm »
Ok, now it supports 2.6.5 servers...
See first post for the download link.

you may notice some padding at the right - it's for quick commands panel (which suppose to pop-up at the right edge), which i haven't fully implemented yet, so it's disabled.

I hate to be a bother, but when/if can we expect an XP version? Not all of us have made the jump to Vista/7 and a some of us aren't planning to do so until MS cuts off XP support.
There are other worlds than these

Before i can start to work on XP version i'll need to:
- finish side quick commands panel to replace those 3 ugly quick commands buttons
- finish UI as a whole
- move all the image resources from main .exe to separate dll

To make it work on XP i'll need to:
- find a proper replacement for the split-buttons
- cut DPI scaling stuff which is used for the every control
- cut DWM stuff
- rewrite all the dialogs
- make XP-compatible version of the image resources dll

Since i'm using plain WinAPI any minor UI modification takes a lot of time...

Also i don't like the way players are listed right now, however I still unable to achieve desired behavior:

And it's not only about not working custom sorting, after every refreshx all the list items are always being refreshed and sorted. I'm using double-buffered drawing for list control, but without it on XP it probably will flicker as hell...

Well, i can add an extra option to the setting, however any UI modification takes a lot of efforts from me (And the Settings window probably needs to be transformed into tabbed view to allow further options count grow. (i'm scared even to think about starting such a transformation :D )

I wish i could make proper tabs with drag-and-drop support and x buttons, but that's probably impossible  :(

Also what do you think of idea to remove images from columns headers and replace them with plain text?
I think i kinda overdid it, and all those images seem to destruct more than help... :\

See first post for the download link.
YES! Thank you so very much! :D:D:D

EDIT: Quick Q, where do we report bugs? Got a bug tracker anywhere?
