Oh, and the reason why I'd probably still prefer a paid solution (as long as it's at a reasonable-come-cheap price), personally , is because of the stability that it affords me. I'm not talking server stability, I'm talking stability in that I know it's going to be there because I've paid for it.

Enjoy paying your servers and funding the monopolization of a server industry, for your "peace of mind". I'll be over here enjoying servers like NASoldat's, who have so far shown us nothing but the same if not better stability and quality than some or most NA/EU servers all for the lowest cost to us possible, all the while not supporting the rapid privatization of the market for servers.

just got one of their NA servers , and this time i feel safe knowing that this amazing 83 ping(from EU to NA) is real. Soldat Forums should not be favouring other soldat server providers: it is a forum for information to be passed to the community, not a place to promote only projects that help the admin's interests. It seems quite petty the distinct distaste coming from the admins here. Free servers help the community enlarge and become more active. Yes the past has shown that this will probable end badly when they run out of money like all the other free soldat server projects that started. However I still think it should be promoted as much as possible why it lasts.
