Hey guys. I've completely rewritten TMS from the ground up to visual appeal, functionality, and to organize and make things better. In the tarball you'll find the 20k or so lines of code that powered TMS from 2007 to 2009, sql necessary to create the required mysql tables, and lots of never-before-seen TMS memorabelia that goes back to 2007. :D

I'd like some feedback on the new version of the site. Feel free to comment on the old code (some of it is s**tty; the rest is genius. I'll let you decide which is which. ;)).

My host currently has sort of strange DNS issues. If the links really don't work, add this line to your hosts file:
204.80.93.32 tms.jrgp.org

That worked. I know sweet f_ck all about coding, but visuals of your site look... a little too blue.
All well and good for some, screws with my eyes though. I would suggest that you make that background a little bit darker... not fully black, but close to it?

Otherwise, it looks alright I suppose :)

Thanks. Since I suck so much at coming up with color schemes, I have a multiple theme chooser so you can pick what you like most. (dropdown menu under shoutbox)

I find no issues with this new look. And the colors for the Soldatforums theme has stayed largely the same, so I like this. :)

eh...
Except for screenshots loading not so much stuff seem to be changed...
TMS has been reliable hosting for my Soldat maps for years, but i can't say much about it's design and ergonomics... To be honest both suck... Page space is wasted carelessly, sections and controls aren't properly separated, everything is too damn small and uber hard to read (it's like you are using 6 pt font), aspect ratio of images is ignored, no means to sort/search for maps etc...
I can prepare some detailed improvement recommendations if you are interested...

By all means. That's largely the purpose of this thread. And thanks for your honesty.

And there are a bunch of ways to search and sort maps, most notably: http://tms.jrgp.org/2010/index.php?action=maps

I guess Maps list id the only place where you can find search bar. I think it would be better to have it integrated into Top menu. And i didn't find any way to sort map... Yes, you it's possible to refine them by gamemode, but that isn't enough.

Ok, here it is:

Thanks.

If you are unable to access it via http://tms.jrgp.org, http://tms.u13.net/ might be better.

also those "+" buttons behave wrong - they should show "-" if the item is opened, and "+" if it's closed (just like on this forums)
