comp help

Ok, just wondering where online is an ideal place to build a desktop?

And if anyone can point out any suggestions(such as computer brand or brand parts) from what I have to say please help me out here.

I need something that can handle my audio recordings and enough CPU to handle the audio plugins I put in.

-I need a 4x6 or 4x4 firewire input for my audio interface
-3 or 4 GB RAM
-Windows XP Service Pack 2, my audio interface isn't compatible with 7 yet
-320 GB HD
-Intel or Turion CPU? I dunno

What would be an ideal price for that in a desktop? I just don't want to get ripped off without knowing it

Do you want it prebuilt? ( I'm assuming pre because what you said ) Or are you going to build it yourself?

It would probably be cheaper to buy the components and pay somebody like $20 or something on craigslist to build it ( in front of you, it should take like less than an hour )

I saw a link on http://www.techbargains.com/?r1=1 that had a good desktop that fits your list for about $300 ( case+everything in it ) just check it daily for good bundles

Also, do you mean AMD? It you're on a really tight budget then go for AMD. I think turion is a laptop based cpu or just don't know at all about it..
