Well, I'm back from a match or two with bots, and i have to say... I like it! It still has some bugs that need working on, but I think we can cover these:

One thing that bothered me on all the gunshots (after the bullet has left the gun) the bullet whizz is backwards. It gets annoying, but I'm sure you can reverse that somehow (audacity is your friend).

The muzzle flash on the Mp5 replacement is misplaced... it's off-centre (sits someway down the barrel of the gun) and looks very bad. You may want to fix this.

Nagant pistols/Deagle replacements were great... until I turned left and the pistols flipped upside down. I remember back in my day of playing with modding that you had to 'rotate' your deagles-n image so it was flipped. Look into that :)

The LAW replacement was nice, but the interface picture is oversized. It also did not match the in-game gfx... which was a bit odd.

Chainsaw sound was a bit odd (I'm guessing this was the replacement sound I found inside the zip folder, the sound I made to replace the ingame 'saw' sound... which I haven't tried yet).

All in all, it was a worthy effort, and I do love true-to-times mods, and realistic mods :) My vote goes to the Springfield (ruger replacement), as it was simply the best gun there (I'm a ruger user). I would suggest though, with your bolt action rifles... add that bolt pull sound after each shot, that would REALLY bring it out ;)

Good work Matt! Fix those bugs, and it'll be even better!

Thanks For the nice (and extensive) review  ;)  I knew when I posted this mod that there where still bugs that needed mending and your review makes it easier to fix.

As for the bullet whizz, Its not so bad when you play TW (less chaos) and it makes the law sound Epic IMO but I'll see what I can do anyway

With the mp5, that is an easy fix

The chainsaw is NOT 100 % finished for two reasons : (1) the Sfx you gave me where good, but too long to use for the chainsaw (it has a 2 second limit) (2) Finding a sound file that works (and is under 2 seconds) is very hard.

Also In my haste to post the mod I did 2 stupid things with the main file, One being that I left an alternate chainsaw sfx file and the other, is that I left out the .ini file (that is a MAJOR oops on my part xD )

So we will just call this version 1.0   :)

Ahh, well if you'd like help to make that Springfield sound just that little bit extra 'nice' (and the barrett replacement)... let me know, I've got a sound here I made myself that will fit the 'bolt action' noise no-worries! :)

Some of the sounds need balancing, ex. Hotchkiss sound only comes out of the left.

I hope you also fixed the chainsaw so it doesn't make the energy sword ignite noise.

Ok, back from another round of testing.

The capture sound is great... but it gets a bit annoying after a while. Some more of the guns had muzzle flash-alignment issues (which you can see for yourself).
Also... the distant explosion sound is a little over done. I shot a law... it's not raining 'artillery' in the distance because of it (although... in Trenchwar, thats a different story)...

For some reason the mod won't appear in the main game, I replaced the files with the mods files and the game didn't change at all! How do I fix this?

I'm not 100% sure what you mean by "is this mod European?" Most of WWI took place in Europe, and a good deal of the weapons in the mod are European made.

Wow, I've never heard of that happening before. Are you sure that you downloaded the file properly? just in case you don't know this already.

After you download the mod, Take the file called "WWI Tactical TW" and move it to the file (in your soldat folder) called "Mods" Then you click "Start.exe" and then click on the title "WWI Tactical TW" then click "Run Soldat Modded"

So basically this: download folder/ WWI Tactical TW/ soldat folder/ mods/ start.exe/ run soldat modded.

So it's THAT type of mod? oooooh!

With my mods I normally copy my soldat game, put it in a new folder with the name of the mod, then put the mod in the folder to replace the game files. I will try that.
