E3
« on: June 16, 2010, 09:13:54 pm »
I am surprised there is no thread on E3 yet. Seriously there are some great games coming out. I was planning on buying a ps3 soon but after Nintendos presentation I have set aside ps3 plans for Wii and 3DS. I am also stoked about the new 360, hopefully this means the old hardware price will drop and I can afford a hard drive and N adapter, also Rising for 360.

Side note: Konamis presentation had me rolling, it was terrible until the end when it got awesome.

What was everyone here excited to hear about?

Not really much, will be looking forward to several sequels.

For the new 360, it has an integrated adapter/and the HD is 250gb which should be enough for some people. Just get that instead of an older one, or just use ethernet ( meaning get a 5 port ethernet hub and have one for PC/360/ everything else = win, less lagz )

The 3DS, I heard it gets out of focus of the 3d if you move it a little or something...meh another new ds every year. Wii will get boring I bet after a month, unless you have guests all the way/or want to get "fit" with the wiifit.

Are you telling me to go buy a $300 console when I can't afford a $100 adapter?

Also I had a Wii before, I had alot of fun with it alone and with friends. I never met someone that couldn't have fun with the wii honestly.

Gran Tourismo 5 is FINALLY getting a release date.

Otherwise I am really unimpressed.
Microsoft pulled out some stupid motion shit
PS3 had its stupid motion shit
Nintendo's biggest announcement didn't work
graphically Goldeneye looks like dogshit
Valve's "surprise" sucked

$100 Eh?

I bet you can easily get a Wireless N adapter for $50-70 on Craigslist/Ebay if you look hard enough or get lucky. Do you love paying the price of when it came out or wat?

Where did I say it wasn't fun? After an hour it got boring for me, but it was probably due to the fact that there were only 2 remotes/not enough gaems  :'(

Craigslist isn't that useful is smaller towns and I know too many people that got burnt with ebay to care about trying. With electronics you get what you pay for.

Well maybe they should have learned about obvious scams on ebay ( i.e use google, it takes like 5 seconds... ), or just used common sense. If they did, they could have just filed a claim and get the money back ( depends on the circumstances )

Yes you do, but if you are buying electronics locally for example try it out before buying it obviously, unless it's on ebay then use what I said up there. If it's just some retailer that you're not sure about, look up the BBS ( or wuteva its called ) rating or just "insert site name here review"

Okay Imma stop here, needs moar e3 posts.

ep.3, to finally finish it hl2 and start hl3.

Saw the delicious Rising gameplay, fast pace eh? Slow motion epic cutting and slicing, looks like you just run and just slice random shit into various pieces.

NFS: Hot pursuit better be good, along with the other games I forgot to mention D:

All the major companies were really disappointing this year -- Oh, except Nintendo who completely handed everyone their asses. Zelda: Skyward Sword, Kirby's Epic Yarn, Epic Mickey, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Goldeneye, Metroid: Other M, Kid Icarus Uprising, and hinted at a new Starfox. The 3DS looks really promising.

Though I'm a bit skeptical about Goldeneye. It seems they completely revamped the original levels so it has very little resemblance the original game. And it's got Daniel Craig as Bond. Craig wasn't in Goldeneye, Brosnan was!!

Star Fox 64 on 3DS man. The new Goldeneye is going to be different but I am willing to give it a shot. Also Brosnan wasn't as good a bond as people make him out to be, the goldeneye movie was completely forgettable.

shut your whore mouth brosnan was awesome
its fucking retarded though who the fuck would remake a GAME based on a GAME from a MOVIE with and make the star a different person? the n64 version is the best anyway and all they're trying to do is ride on goldeneye 64's success

everything by microsoft and sony was either a nintendo rip off or a sequel

That was the surprise? I already knew this... :( I checked out gameinformer's site and they had a Portal 2 sorta page where it was like "Read these interviews/Check out the team blah blah blah"

Oh, with Episode 3 er whatever it will be, I read something about that... They're working on it and would've announced it, but I guess Portal 2 is more of a priority for em as of now [shrug]

I've been following the PC releases very closely, and I am impressed at how much awesomeness is coming in the future.

Fable 3, Star wars: old republic, Dead space 2, Crysis 2, red faction armageddon, Mafia II, Trine 2, Call of duty black ops, Fear 3, Portal 2, Rage, Rayman origins, NFS hot pursuit. And many more.
