Give him a break...he's posting on the internet, after all.  Every country looks about a dozen times stupider if you only listen to their citizens that post on the internet.

Only anime shows I've felt any interest in over the years are Pokemon (original TV series) and various hentai.
so clearly jgrp is a goddamn anime connoisseur. his opinion might as well be law here.

I'm quite fascinated by the States. I've always wanted to go there and experience it, maybe take a roadtrip from one coast to the other. That being said, I'm with 10th_account on this one.

What pisses me off about America is how you just immediately regard your country as being the greatest in the world. When someone challenges that belief, you're go mental and scream for justice, "You've never been here! Anyone that hasn't should shut up about things they have no knowledge of!". See, I agree much of the way, and that's fine. But how can you claim such things when you yourself have never been outside the US? How the hell do you know if you're the better country? I'd like to see some n00bface up in this b***h!

Don't get me wrong, I admire patriotism. But I think there's a point where patriotism crosses into blind naivety. I kinda get the feeling that people are so patriotic(In the States), because they'd feel targeted if they weren't, and as such a swift competition comes up about who can be the bigger patriot, kinda like the cold war and who could be the least communist. Correct me if I'm wrong, this is only a hunch. And also, I realise I'm generalising at a massive level.

and lol, people get fatter and fatter, and more people get fat in america. it's a big problem, it's the reversal of starvation.

.... overeating isn't the only reason why people can be overweight.

Well my country is full of s**t -_-

This wierd crap rule says that every shops except shops that sell foods must be closed during Sunday. Probably some religious crap, so anyways, ours is delayed to Monday.

Anyone experiencing same bull s**t as I do?
When you get a job you will understand the idea of people getting holidays off to be with their families.
Now that I think of it, you do have a great point. But still..... Even during holiday?!

Continent > Country, but only just.
retard, america isn't just a country, it's a continent too. you got "states" which is kinda as big as a normal country. just that you want to call your part continent a country doesn't really mean you can count it as one.
as you say you're "european" or "asian", you also say you're "american" even tho america is just an immigrant "country".
Canada is big and split up into subsections, maybe it's a continent as well. So north america is actually two continents? By your logic there are 8 continents in the world, but everyone who matters thinks that there are only 7, therefore you are wrong.

I don't have anything agains the US, and I think it's a good country and all but I wouldn't claim it to be the greatest country at all.

It's nice that you like your country, but sometimes it just seems like it goes overboard.
Right now I don't think the military forces of a country makes it a great country, but the history and culture instead.

The military statistics doesn't really matter anymore.

You're right bunny, actually USA are that mediated. Man i went to the USA once and i was really touched when we passed the Customs and it was written "United states of America" in big letters. Everyone must be proud of their own country, as i am for Canada, but in a certain way, it musn't surpass respect and love we have towards people.

Defining "best" country is stupid because every person here has a completely different idea of what "best" is. Stop it.

Extreme patriotism is also stupid. Stop that too. I've lived in America my whole life and I love it here but 1) I haven't been to any other countries besides Canada and the UK, and 2) the USA has a LOT of problems that need to be fixed but won't. Therefore I won't say our country is the "best," doing so would just show my ignorance.

Ohoo hoo... That's not the question you should ask me... But you already have.
Germany
Netherlands
Switzerland
Ireland
Czech Republic
France
All of the countries I've listed were nice.  But I never had enough time to experience their problems.  I really enjoyed all of the scenery, and had the most fun in Munich.  I wnet to Switzerland, Ireland, and Germany on my family's "once-a-decade" heritage trip.  In 8 more years, we go on another one.  I specifically got to visit Czech Republic, France, and Netherlands with my cousins.  I don't exactly remember why my cousins wanted to go to Amsterdam but I digress.  France was pretty sweet as well.
I'll be honest, the States are seriously awesome.  We have so much more than any other country.  More money, more weapons, more people (other than China,) and more food.  Because we ARE an immigrant country (melting pot) we get to learn about people from all over the world.  There are Irish-Americans, African-Americans, Mexican-Americans, German-Americans, Volga-Germans (Russian-German-Americans,) and MANY more.  We get to eat frankfurters, Chinese-food, Pizza, tacos, and ALL kinds of different foods.  So I believe we're the best country, but it doesn't matter.  Lock please.

either way, USA isn't rich. why else would it be like 2x cheaper to buy stuff from america than to buy from europe?

yes, if you are to buy something, it's ussualy cheaper in the US than in europe. but the shipping costs is like 30 euro, so it's rarely worth it.

US isn't horrible, but the stereotypes in the US are horrible.
