I don't know if this has been published anytime.

But there's this one thing that has been bothering me for a long time. I think Soldat has since it's very early versions. When you use taunts that cross with the same key which is used for an in game movement like prone with "X", You just wanna say a taunt to your teammates, and you find yourself lying in ctf_Dropdown2 getting your arse kicked.

Something has to be done about that!
I mean I'd really like having next V. of Soldat without it!

Wookash, It's almost impossible while playing.
95% you'll end up: droping your weapon/proning/switching from 1st to 2nd...

there's more than just that:
i'm a fast typer which often leads to the last letter i typed in a message to be take as an input in the game. like pressing T and then typing "This sux" can lead to me going prone, if i do it fast enough...
i agree this needs to be fixed, but not so urgently!

Try taunting alt+f or alt+r

Alt+R works just fine, but Alt+F is really annoying.

Hmmm. Never had problems like that. Guess I don't use taunts that collide with my movements. And I think it won't be that easy to fix cause it has something to do with soldat's heartbeat.

pretty much only option is to release the letter before alt.

Oh, as far as I remember it happens when you release alt but still holding another button. It can be fixed if soldat will ignore all pressed buttons if alt was pressed at the same time.

I have them taunted also but it's still pretty annoying when you are trying to send a taunt and pick a weapon instead

yeah i've never had problems with ALT + F - i guess i naturally release F before releasing ALT.
i DO have a problem with typing something that ends in F and hitting enter key too fast...

:d ye same happens for me as well.. im used to press "tab" after using taunt while being dead.

Well, there are moments where I have to do it as fast as possible. Free flag for example, so teammates got time to return/grab it
