I know this is a little random.
But i got a new t-shirt the other day that made me smile for the rest of the day.


Funny story when i bought it.
An old woman was standing behind me and was like.."is that Obama?" and she looked kinda worried
and i said yes.
Well she goes "Why would someone do that to him, i bet you he wouldn't be so happy to see that."

Now seriously, ever since i've worn this t-shirt, why is everyone referring to this as "i hate obama".
its just a t-shirt, i got it cause it had a zombie on it, and i love zombies.

Does anyone in these forums find this offensive?

Yeah, well not only that, people let politics cause problems and arguments because people don't always agree with what you say.
People get too serious about it and offended when stuff like my t-shirt happens, why get mad over something so simple as a t-shirt?

It comes from the bush years. Bush hate went beyond actual politics and turned into fad. Tons of stupid tshirts and bumper stickers were spawned and now everything with some sort of political figure or reference is thought of a show of hatred.

PS: Not saying Bush years invented stuff like that... it just peaked in popularity.

But I'm not sure people out here would be THAT serious about someone wearing a t-shirt.
People have been making cartoons, newspapers, just about everything towards presidents for years, making fun of them, for instance, Regan had a big nose and they made fun of it.
Bill Clinton and his impeachment because he was caught with a prostitute, jokes are still made about that today.
What makes a difference that someone makes a cartoon shirt towards Obama that doesn't even mean anything offensive?

Some designer just decided what it would be like to dress Obama up like a zombie.

Have you just sat there, and looked at someone and thought about what they would have looked like if they were a zombie? How scary or creepy they would look?
That's basically what the designer did.

Well that's it, he just wanted to match Obama with Zombie to shock people, like any other shirt of this kind.

And probably, if you have the courage to wear these shirts, that's probably because you like its contents(more like its style) and doesn't care about what other people are going to think about it

I'm pretty sure that a lot of people out there probably know that most 17 year old's couldn't care less about politics and the only reason why they would wear something like that t-shirt, is because they just like the way it looks or its contents as Vince had said.

If it is truly meaningless then its just an ugly shirt.
