I'd be more interested in specific stats. How well will bot X play against bot Y? Real statistics, you know?

I see.. to get a full picture I would have to run alot of rounds.
Also, with the example of boogie man, simply putting X and Y against each other Boogie Man would lose because he's not good in 1vs1. However put him in a small map with a fair few players, and he'll do fine!

Maybe do a ranking system?
Categories:
1vs1, 6-Player (tiny map), 6-Player (small map), 8-Player (medium map). Anything else?
The 1vs1 will be first to 30 kills, bigger one's to 60 kills.
Points:
1vs1: 1 Point per kill. So winner gets 30, loser gets however many he scored against.
All others: 0.5 points per kill. Winner also gets 30 etc.

Sound reasonable?

sounds pretty much alike.

but for statistical significance, im afraid these are way too small numbers, reasonable statistics will need hundreds and thousands of rounds on different maps, which isnt practicable, but though im very curious about the outcomes of your next researches.

And good heavens, if you are going to do this 1v1 thing with lots of rounds, make a script to automate it all. Still I think it would be a waste of time, oh well.

It's ironic, because all of the bots use aimbots.
