You may know this problem: You reinstalled Soldat or join a new server and after every match you need to rejoin and download another map. A possible solution'd be a button which allows you to download all maps from a server immediatly. No more need to put all maps in an archive, upload it to Rapidshare and put a download link on the server which spams the chat all the time. Just a simple button and that's it.

I think you'll agree with me, but I set up a poll nontheless ;)

It'd be nice if every server had it, and I love the stats, but this'd require the user to use a browser to access all maps, and is only a bit different to a maparchive on Rapidshare. My suggestion allows to download everything directly with one click. Simple is best.

Yeah.. climbing servs have loooads of custom maps.
Would bulk downloading from the server affect its performance?

I don't think it'd harm the perfomance much and you wouldn't even recognize it.

If done right, it should depend on the physical server's upstream speed most likely probably.

The solution:
Backup your soldat folder next time.
Just copy C:\Soldat somewhere.
Reinstall your windows.
Install soldat.
Copy the backupped soldatfolder over the current one.
Enjoy.

No need to add possible lag because of massive downloads to the game.
And if you don't want to do this just keep downloading map by map as punishment.
