Soooo I decided to make another comic-ish map after the success of the DM map of the same name. This is the first layout-sketch with values. Any comments?

Forgot to add, this is one half of the map. It'll be mirrored. Flags'll be on the pillars and players'll spawn below.

Ok, couple of thoughts - Illustrated in the annotations attached.
The high bit is pretty high. And the fact that the pillar with the flag on top is pretty darn high, the upper route seems alot better than the low.
This map is kinda a campers heaven too xD see my 'bullet trail' lines from approximated gosteks...

What if the pillars (except for the one holding the flag) blocked bullets and there were boxes on the low route? This'd make it more appealing and less campable.

hmm... blocking stuff completely through there is a bit naff. We just want something that stops the campers.
I'd much prefer actually testing it with the polygons and see how it works out.
The things I pointed out might not be too bad in the actual thing. Half depends on what scale you have the map in compared to the players.
I might suggest you shrink the islands a bit, mainly the height, a lil width. Though that's all that I can sorta say without actually getting in there and testing it!

The map seems good, but it'll need a roof, otherwise it'll be like ctf_Conquest (rocket jump and see you).
You could make the flag on the lower route, and spawns on top. That way the faster route will be for killing the flagger, that won't go up so much because of the respawning enemies.

-Should be a colourisch sky. I doubt it will look much better that way.
-There is not too much to snipe. -Remember our friend against snipers, mr. Bink. Though there can be something colliding in the first temple. But still minigunman binks all the snipers easily there.
-Strong middle is a good thing. ''Hold the middle!'' I can imagine someone to say.
-There is still no objects, but spwans should be on that pyramid.
-Flag in bushes
-When we are talking about bushes, there could be something to go in front of gostex. Not much though.
-Add something to left, so that players can't when wounded, just go there and respwan.
-About the temple still, that high bit should be bouncy/hurting/ice whatever, but there should not to be any camping spot, because of the picture below (I mean what picture tells :) )
-Looks good.
-These lines are not ``this is a minus thing´´
-Very clear feeling, what is colliding and what is not.
-I wate for it.

Sorry if I'm insolent.

After Espada's post I think I'll add a roof and another temple area (smaller than the one on the low route) in the middle. I'll block some sniping via boxes on the top route so it's a little bit safer, but not too much. I plan on adding some area behind the pyramid with spiked heads of beheaded foes, red ones on the one side, and blue ones on the other side, so noone can go there without dying.

Yeah, most of the combat will be on the middle part. I think holding the building can mean a lot for the game since players then can rush fast and safe to the flag which will be on top of the pyramids but below the pillar. Players will spawn either in the bushes or on the pillars. Not sure about medikits and grenades yet, but I doubt that'll be a too hard decision to make.

I think I'll go for a green sky with comic-ish fog and everything so it fits the theme. The roof will be mud mostly but will include rocks as well. There'll not be too much in front of players as that only promoted camping and reduces visability which is very important. I don't only want the map to look good - I have done enough maps that are good looking - I want it to have a nice gameplay, too.

Thanks for your input, it's highly appreciated! ;)
