Thats some really nice shots, esp for a 3 megapixel. Looks like you found a great lens for macro focus!

18MP is not some sort of magic number that will make your images good, stop being a tool. If you can't take good photos with a derpy old film camera, you can't take good photos with a 40MP Hasselblad or whatever the size of their digital backs are these days.

AKA, I wouldn't have to buy film 24/7. [facepalm]
I could afford to "waste" shots with experimentation (like I do with my Canon Powershot S530.. 5mp etc.) rather than have to carefully plan all ~24 on the roll (and then you need a good place for developing and scanning film). I got screwed on two rolls once by one place ):

But please, you should know about the bulls**t film photographers have to go through sometimes -- I've had seemingly decent rolls of film come out with white specks, innordinate amounts of film grain, and all sorts of nonsense.

OFF TOPIC: I've already PM'd him about that :L

ON TOPIC: It's an interesting thing about the whole film vs digital... I didn't realise cameras these days could even reach 40+MP o.0 shows just how much i know!

Film film film. I love film. Not because I'm trying to be 'old-school' and cool, but because it's such a joy to work with.

Took up photography about 4 years ago and completely fell in love with it. I'm now about to put on an exhibition of my final major project as part of my University Degree. I firstly started out with Digital, but when I began my course switched to film. It's a raw chemical process, and its great fun.

I own a Canon 5D, Contax 137 MD, Mamiya RZ67 (medium format camera) amongst several others. Am currently using a 5x4 for my project (although the linked photo was taken using my Mamiya) which will help me get rid of the converging lines. The negatives are huge and no digital camera comes close the quality you are able to produce with it (and that's not the biggest).

I've got a selection of photos on my website: http://www.constantincerdan.com/. The previous page has some of the photos I took when I first started out in photography, as now a lot of my work is conceptually orientated.

Referring to Blacksheepboy's remark about the s**t film photographers have to go through sometimes; yes, are you right, sometimes it can be little frustrating when problems occur such as light leaks, or others that you mentioned. However, sometimes they can work out quite nicely as they did with the photos from Hong Kong.

That are some nice pictures there.
Personally, i like to make pictures of stuff that says "that looks nice, i could make something to keep a memory of it.
The biggest problem is that no matter how steady my hand is, i always get a bit blurted, misfocused or with the not that good color range.

A few of pictures that im actually content with:
Dawn while waiting on the bus. Approx 7am.
-The sky/sea looks nice, but im discontent with the trees.
Dawn, same position, different day.
-Again, good color range, discontent with the trees and the horizon being inclined.
Just a random through-the-window-during-class photo
-Personally, i hate and love this photo. The color range turned out great and horrible at the same time, except that, the edges look a bit blurred.

Not using anything to modify the photos, just 'abusing' the mediocre/bad quality of my phone camera to get such color ranges.
Oh, and those moments look much more amazing when being seen through eyes. Unfortunately, i cant screenshot my eyes. :(

Bupdate:
Play of clouds and rays
-This one hit almost the realistic color range. Except the boats, everything else is fine. Again, no photoshop.

Last year, I dreamt I was pissing at a restroom, but I missed the urinal and my penis exploded.
