All "recent" wars that involved the us were based on lies, not only lies but false flags. Most wars are based on this as it is the easiest way to get approval- look at ww2 and the reichstag fire. Now look at vietnam- tonkin, operation ajax, and now the "war on terror". Just as likely to win as a war on drugs. It's not like they are a rarity as most would like to believe. Most "conspiracy theorists" are complete dumbf**ks who read something and pass it along as truth, in regard to people who believe the cover story- there is little difference. These happen all over the world, the USA is no different. If there was so much to lose by doing a decent investigation, but not by initiating a multibillion dollar war, I find little reason why this must be. Why there have been no trials, as we do live in a land of justice, baffles me. At the minimum, even if we disagree on these things we can still agree that our government is incompetent.

EDIT: To be more on the nwo side of thread, I included a chart which shows how badly the federal reserve is deflating our dollar. :

America is one of the greatest in the world, in terms of government and "source code," because:
- Oldest government still running off the same constitution that was written in the late 1700s. No other country has had the same government for that long. The US constitution was written so that it can be extended to accommodate future issues.
- The strongest and most powerful military, due to above
- Government written such that it uses checks and balances to ensure that no part of it has control over any of the others. This is essentially a firewall to corruption
- et al.
- Very, very diverse culture depending on where you are

Cons:
- Non-free healthcare can be considered lame by some
- Various mundane details people who hate the US (idiots) rant about for attention

Not sure where you pulled that fact out of. A quick googling reveals that Isle of Man (979 AD) and Iceland (930 AD) seem to be pretty good contenders for oldest running government. And I'm sure there's some other ones between that time and the late 18th century.

Well now that you brought it up... my biggest gripe would be that there's only two parties to represent the entire population, and their ideologies from a worldwide point of view are right-wing and very right-wing. And parties seem to have have an affiliation with the media (I'm thinking primarily of MSNBC and Fox News). Doesn't seem like the country is setting itself up for a completely free political system. But obviously no government is perfect.

There's a reason one of the most common second languages in the world is English. For a long time (and maybe still today), we were at the forefront of science, technology, economics, military strength, and politics. Our country is so diverse because immigrants flooded here to take advantage of that strength. Say what you like about our past, but I bet it's still better than your country's.

IMHO, America is the most fucked up system in the universe, I mean for crying out fuck, they don't even have an origin. They're a mix of British/French/Mexican settlers, then Portuguese, Dutch, Spaniards, Africans, and whatever other ethnicity/culture comes to mind.

Yet in some fascinating way, they're still going.
