Last year, I dreamt I was pissing at a restroom, but I missed the urinal and my penis exploded.
Since none of these statements can be qualified or scientifically defended, the statement on the whole is a lie.
My few cents on this:Humans are in fact animals. So a Human (animal) could mary any other animal. So why not gay marrige? They're in love, they "belong" togetherAs I understand it god wants you to be happy too.Scientists have proof that there are gay relationships in the animal world too.(because we have souls and animals do not, we are SEPARATEI don't remember god ever saying animals have no souls.The only thing that separates us from animals is that we are self aware of our existence and we can think.Id interpret the Genesis, the forbidden, i dont have a bible, so it might be a bit off:God said that they will surely die if they eat from the tree of cognition of good and evil, where as Lucifer (Devil, Satan, whatever you want, i prefer this for its meaning) said that they will "open their eyes".My interpretation:God didnt say that they will die the same moment, just indicate that they would die, whereas Lucifer said that they will realize their existence, but with realizing it, they would see that their lives are passable, and they would die eventually. They didnt realize that before they ate from the tree.Now, read what god said. I interpreted this part that god actually isnt a good, loving person, but more like a tyrant, who is keeping his "creation" under a leash, and forbidding them to think for themselves, being autonomous beings, doing things which arent instinctive, but thought over.Humans in the garden of eden, were nothing but animals, they werent thinking, but reacting, but with the apple they became "gods", self aware, autonomous, having skills instead of abilities and so on..And i would combine this with the Greek mythology, Prometheus to be precise.He gave humans the fire of gods, and was punished by the main god, Zeus, for that.The "fire of gods" is the same thing as the apple in the Genesis. Its self awareness, the intellect, skills, the 'soul'...Also, relate the punishments:Lucifer has lost 'his' legs, what made the snake crawl on the ground in the Bible, Prometheus was imprisoned on the Caucasus in the myth, 'mankind' was forced out of heaven in the bible, nothing special happened to mankind in the myth.Lucifer- Light bringerPrometheus- Flame bringerThen, after creating Adam, the verry first human who ever lived, he created his female counterpart, Eve, from the ribbone of adam. So as you can plainly see it was Adam and Eve who were the first married humans. (it was not Adam and Steve)After the sin of man, God told Adam and Eve amoung many other things, to be fruitfull and multiply. There is absolutly no gay married couple that can complete this command.Laughed at the steve bit (how do you know it isn't a typo :O).Ya and at the time it also says they were the ONLY people, eve was also made from adam making her closer than a sister, so the bible tells you to have incest.Very moral.Figurativeness ftl.We are all gods children, and he loves us all.That sounds dirty.

So let me get this straight : you admit to being the very definition of having a closed mind, yet those who possess cognitive and objective reasoning are 'small-minded' ?
You did not properly read my post. I did not ask you to prove my statement wrong or not proveable. This topic will not convince anyone, who isn't unsure from the start on, of any point of view. I talked of experience. How many real christians do you know? How can you judge their faith and their life based on scientific researchs? Life is much more than just science.
The act of sacrificing a thing or a living object is an act of praising/appeasing a higher being/higher goal. The act of God sacrificing his own son to himself stands in contrast to the definition of a sacrifice. How could God praise himself by sacrificing his own sown to himself? He can't. Appease? I'd get rather angry about myself. Higher goal? The goal was to deliver all humans from sins. Since God is seen as a being which suffers from all the sins humans carry with them - at least modern theology says that - it's unnatural that he sacrifices his own son to himself to alleviate his pain.
If God was prepared to let us off, why on earth did He not do so? And what possible point could there be in punishing an innocent person instead? None at all that I can see, if you are thinking of punishment in the police-court sense. On the other hand, if you think of a debt, there is plenty of point in a person who has some assets paying it on behalf of someone who has not....In fact, it needs a good man to repent. And here comes the catch. Only a bad person needs to repent: only a good person can repent perfectly. The worse you are the more you need it and the less you can do it. The only person who could do it perfectly would be a perfect person-and he would not need it....Now if we had not fallen, that would be all plain sailing. But unfortunately we now need God's help in order to do something which God, in His own nature, never does at all-to surrender, to suffer, to submit, to die. Nothing in God's nature corresponds to this process at all. So that the one road for which we now need God's leadership most of all is a road God, in His own nature, has never walked.
