So the most recent discussion threads are boring and are taking a lot of loops. So lets talk about cake instead!

I like chocolate cake, and among all the various types of chocolate cake, I like Tarte au Chocolat the most! But fruit cake is nice as well, but only if there's no chocolate cake around. And lets not forget about lemon cake, Sacher torte and sandcake - even if I prefer chocolate cake over those. Basically.. chocolate cakes > the whole rest.

Please share your experiences with cake, your preferences and the cakes you hate the most. I am so curious! Let me hear all of it!

Is cake here a metaphor or just plain normal cake?

I preffer simple cakes, mostly because i can make them easily by myself without putting some effort in them, and they are delicious no matter what.

The worst thing that can happen is that it has a seed or a chunk of anything that is hard in it.
I almost have a phobia of biting accidentally a harder thing. Bad memories.

Im equally for fruit and chocolate cakes, but a combination of those two is the best option.
Im also kinda picky if the cakes are crumbly or too dry. Not exactly my thing, but if its delicious im not going to complain.

I'm more of a pie guy than a cake... something that rhymes with cake. Maaaan I can't even be poetic when I try.

Um...do the Japanese not have any cake except strawberry? Because...well...

They're eating pretty much the exact same cake. lolol I just noticed she's going to be super sad when she bites on the metal part

As for me personally, I used to like cake more than pie, but now cake is often way too sweet for me. My favorite cake type would have to be chocolate cherry. I'm still not a big fan of pie, though (EXCEPT LEMON MERINGUE).

Don't have any pie pics unfortunately iDante, but Gamer hit the nail on the head.

I really don't think they have pictures of other variety of cakes. Usually it's just strawberry, because honestly there's nothing kinkier than a santa babe holding out a fork filled with strawberry cake at your face.

@topic: the only part of cakes I usually like is the icing. For that reason I usually prefer pies, especially key lime.

Man, I take everything seriously. That's how you stay ahead in this crazy, crazy world.

Incidentally, despite the metal thing being an "afterthought," the other two girls are pretty clearly thinking, "Oh balls...do we tell her? Do we not tell her?" At least, that's my interpretation, because it's funniest that way.

I take it seriously cause it's probably the only thing tv-wise that gives me enjoyment.

Seriously I can't sit down and watch 2 hours of iCarly... The Adventures of Flapjack without feeling gay and losing braincells. Mtv blows, discovery channel has nothing interesting anymore, and the only thing I watch on the history channel is Pawn Stars. So then I turn to my computer and I'm like.. "wow, japanese cartoons are funny as hell, I can seriously get into this."

I started getting into anime when I was younger though, but not as much as I am now, since shows are getting gayer by the year on TV.

I visit Lidl (markets) to buy Schwarzwald and Peach cakes,cuz i dont have the time to make them myself and they cost like 7$

To be fair, that's kind of the Portal cake.

Still, if there's one thing this thread has proven, it's that someone needs to introduce some cake variety to Japan.

That's why you watch snooty comedy shows like... aaaand I can't remember the name.
Anywho, most of the shows out there look so brain-killingly dumb, it's pathetic.

Oh, and cake. Um. I favor.. the carrot and "lamb" cake my mother makes--both are extraordinary (so be jealous of my good luck!).
