Soldat Enhanced Graphics Mod (suggestion)

Someone (not me have no modding skills)-lol should make a graphics mod for soldat that enhances all the visuals all the gosteks scenery anims and etc... you sometimes the soldat grainy look gets bland. just a suggestion. DOES THIS SOUND GOOD???

The thing is that Soldat would need an engine upgrade to have higher-res visuals. Which will happen sometimes in the future, but probably not now.

you could only add some fancy textures, and sceneries and someone with good visual skills can make a well Looking map.

New ctf laos remake , doesn't look bad for example
Also I doubt soldat will ever move to another engine but I can imagine soldat2 to be announced in the next 5 years

What if you double (or x4) the size of all the gfx? And then adjust the code to us these higher resolution pictures? Soldat's renderer should be able to do this. You might not need to change anything else. Animations will be the same...

That would work, except map graphics would still be low-res unless everyone remakes all of their maps to use hi-res textures and sceneries. And it still sounds like a lot of work, also AFAIK it'll make it easier to make hacks that increase player's view range.

would it be possible to do your gostek and make them 3d-ishh or hi-res with a diff img. program other than ms paint so u could increase the pixels
