Restoration of Bash Pit and Karma

Hello,

As I'm sure you've noticed, the Bash Pit is back. Refer to the sticky for rules.

Karma is also back. You can only vote up/down once every 72 hours. People who outright ask to be smitten/applauded will have their custom avatar/signature privileges revoked temporarily and, depending on the level of annoyance, temporarily muted. If someone's karma hits 150 in either direction, they may request a reset to 0.

Feedback is welcome.

More like breathing some death into the place.  There's good activity and there's bad activity, and this is the latter.  If the forums turned into 4chan, would it be okay because "at least it's alive"? Of course not.  What if we started talking about nothing but anime? Would it still be okay? No, it wouldn't, and you know it wouldn't.

If anything, the Bash Pit has value only in that it pulls the miscreants away from the Lounge (ideally quarantining them there).  However, saying that it's good for the forum because it promotes "activity" is just a bunch of BS.

Yeah well where are you helping out? Go create some interesting topics in the lounge or something seeing as you ignore every OTHER board on this forum.
