what i think soldat needs.

What i think soldat needs is new...just new.For instance.

1.no tking(team killing)
2.different guns
3.different styles
4.make the polygons better(poeple have been getting stuck)
5.on the grenade launcher when you get hurt by the it. it doesn 30%more damge.decrease it to only 10%.
6.make the bots more accurate(bots get stuck or not moveing at time)

Hows that for some addtional/improvments for soldat :P

1. you can turn that off...and it's off in most servers...
2. yea sure, whatever..hard to balance but i don't see a problem.
3. hell yea, i want each player be able to customize their looks and stuff, like different gosteks (spelling?) to choose from.
4. sure sure, i don't care even lol, never got stuck before.
5. hell no, i say make it 100%, these m79s now days don't learn how to do long range shots and all they do is rush in corners and kill everyone one hit in zero-range.
6. uh...impossible bots are pretty accurate, and for those bots that get stuck it's because the map, all the bots won't get stuck if you play with the original maps..but i know that's hard.

didnt they fix the polygons? but anyway
There should be differnt shapes too definitely a circle
and like water polygons :)
how cool would it be if you could swim?
and the bullets would be quite slow with water trails [and don't start saying "uh.. DUH ever tried to shoot a gun underwaterr?!? it would be a tad wet"]
anyway thats kinda supid and never ever going to happen

wtf....circle polygons...? just make 360 small pie piece shaped polygons and move them together. whala u got a circle with all of its degrees. idk about water polygons, i do think polygons should be able to be behind the soldat and have opacity. i also think colliders could slow down you. so if you put that together you could have water i guess....

try to search the old forums about the water.

is circle polygon possible, or even a curve poly, just to get rid of the many extra polies in a lot of the good maps.

  • Team killing can already be switched off.
  • Different guns can be made with the weapons editor.
  • What do you mean by 'styles'?
  • Polygons are pretty much perfect in any map created with Soldat Polyworks. You need old maps remaking, contact the people who created the maps.
  • Weapons damage balance is widely debatable and you won't get anywhere by asking for a change in here.
  • Lastly, people have always asked for improvements in the bots, and it's never happened.

uhh.....no you cant use weapon editor to make different weapons.weapon editor is to make the weapon do more damage.Or mak ethe gun go to slow or make the bullet different thats all it can do. :-\

i dont think that are good points to make soldat better.
team killing is only possible if friendly fire is on
there are enough weapons, new weapons are of course welcome, but not necassery.
about the style, i think its like the weapons; its good this way, but new things are welcome.
I also dont see much problems in the polygons, mostly everything goed fine.
if you think the bots are too weak, add more on the enemy side, and put them on impossible.

Most of the bots get stuck because of waypoints, me thinks.

2. mods no more new guns added
3. styles? this "gunz" now?
4. fix the bug? yeh ok, but what maps have serious bugs?
5. what?
6. thats just bad waypointing, what i want is a bot that stays on the ground more to shoot a law and not flying twords you like boogieman.

uhh.....YES YOU CAN
Mod the weapon/interface gfx, the sound, and change the weapon propierties and voila you can have virtually any gun you can think of.
