well i installed the full 1.6.1 and did not work, then reinstalled 1.6.0 and the patch and the same problem:

i have a prosavage ddr graphic card btw i don't know if that is the problem

Did you try to reboot.

If that doesn't work, check your font.txt at the txt folder

hmm yea, seems to make sense since your font is fine. There's just some repeating text. (is this just when you join a server or also at the GUI?)

Never seen this bug before. Did you reboot before installing soldat again? Can screw things up sometimes.

Did you have issues in 1.6.0 with fonts too?
Please try to enable logging in soldat.ini and attach the logfile.

nah, soldat 1.6.0 and 1.5 works fine, this is the first time with this problem :S

Lol, that's weird... It doesn't have to be even fonts bad... Try choose fonts to bgothl and FontBigSize to 14... I don't really know how to help you...

It was not to fix your bug but to generate a log file which you could inspect and post here.
That way I can see what is the matter and find out how to fix the bug.

You can find the log files in logs folder:

Some checks for access violations and logging output.

Workaround for now: Try changing the font size until you don't get these errors.

Don't forget to delete the logfile before starting Soldat (or you will have to search for the added lines - I think).

The only thing I know that could work would be changing the the font sizes in C:\Soldat\txt\font.ini

Note: This bug will be fixed in the next version (I'll need a few people who have this bug and some who got access violations in old soldat versions because of fonts for testing)

I got access violation about fonts in 1.5.0. Now, it doesn't happen anymore. Dunno why it stoppped. Anyway, if you need help, just tell me via IRC, PM or this thread...

It stopped because of the fix I made. But somehow it also causes issues for some people.

k i tried changing all the fonts in font.ini but the problem still persists

. and i used to get some access violation errors in 1.5 but then i reopen the game and everything was fine until 1.6.2 .

i dont get any errors in 1.6.2 but this font problem is irritating

mixed emotions, more of the sad actually

How exactly were you trying change those fonts? Could you post here some combinations those you used (and those didn't work)...?

i tried almost every number from 1 to 20 none of them work and i also tried changing font1 and font2 to bgothl but it does not work

I could undo the fix in Soldat 1.6.3.

But I really want to fix the access violation issue.
If anyone here uses IRC please join #soldat.devs on Quakenet and highlight me (tell me that you have this bug) so I know who I could send some test stuff which hopefully fixes this.

Im polish and my english is poor. I dont create new topic beacuse I have the same problem like this and the same video card. 1.5 works fine the problem starts from 1.6.0. Please help me

Enable logging:
logging=1 in soldat.ini (if it was 1 make sure you delete old log files first)

Run soldat and join game
Press ESC (to see bug)
Leave and close game

Attach logfiles to your post:
Log.txt and ConsoleLog.txt (see Logs folder)

Maybe they will help me to find the bug. Thanks!

Hmm could you run 1.6.2 (with logging)? I have removed the logging feature in 1.6.3...
